All the pundits who are forecasting the November election, busily analyzing blue states, red states, and those all-important purple swing states, are spinning their wheels. At the risk of sounding even more presumptuous than usual, I contend that they are wasting their time and yours. If you want to know who's going to emerge victorious, all you really need to do is find out how many people have cats living with them and how many have dogs. The cat people, I have decided, will go overwhelmingly for Kerry; the dog lovers will do the same for Bush. It isn't simply that women, who often prefer felines to canines, tend to vote Democratic. It really goes to the nature of the animals........

I've never had a Daschund but they are the cutest things! I love small dogs especially for house dogs. Dogs aren't into torture. My JRT kills them right off and then plays with them. We had a cat when I was a kid that tortured mice before she killed them. One day my baby brother picked up the hurt mouse and it bit him. We were lucky that Mom was able to capture the mouse for tests. If she hadn't he would have had to take rabies shots. That would have been tough for a four year old. I don't dislike cats but I prefer the loving snuggling nature of a dog. I've had a few lovable cats but not many.

Jack Russells make great pets but they aren't for everybody. They're a big dog in a little body. LOL They don't know they're little and require a lot of exercise and entertainment. A bored JRT is a disaster fixing to happen! :-)

Well...I don't know about this supposed 'cat owner' vs. 'dog owner' stuff.....but......

I DID take a picture of POS Kerry...and President Bush and put them on the ground in the back yard.

Both dogs went to the POS Kerry picture and..well....pissed on it.

They then proceded to go and bark at the neighbors cat.

I have no idea if this means anything.......

There is a photoshopped pic like this one that shows the kitty with a gun and a knife and has obviously turned this situation around. I have been looking for that one, but it's not on this thread. :^(

Sounds like my current mutt. Her favorite treats are live baby bunnies and muskrat bellies. She likes the bunnies to be wiggling and screaming while she swallows them, but she crushes the muskrats' heads and makes sure the gray matter is oozing before feasting on their innards. I love her anyway.

I've had dogs and cats most of my adult life and this is one of the more absurd things I have seen here. I'm a former Marine NCO, retired AF officer who wouldn't vote for ANY democrat. Through the 90s I got a particular pleasure lining the bottom of the cat box with pictures/clippings of the clintons. It gave me a warm feeling all over and the cats didn't mind as long as they couldn't see the ugly faces.
