The Democrat National Committee has prepared a full-scale assault against the Vietnam Veterans for Truth to draw their character and veracity into question, according to one anonymous source inside the DNC. The campaign of character assassination is scheduled to coincide with the release of the book Unfit for Command which reveals inconvenient facts for the Kerry campaign.
We have prepared what we call Brown Books that contain damaging military records, personal credit histories, medical histories, psychiatric histories, divorce records, you name it, our source told us. The Brown Books are so-called because of their distinctive plain brown covers, which contain no words. Some books have already been delivered to Kerry-friendly reporters. Others are on their way, our source told us. When asked if we could have a copy, our source declined, saying there is a limited number of Brown Books and they have been carefully inventoried to control in whose hands the books ended up.
Ultimately the Brown Books will end up in the hands of pro-Kerry news agencies and reporters. According to our source, who demanded to remain anonymous for fear of retribution, The New York Times is already on the hook to run a negative series on the Vets, as is the Boston Globe, which is owned by the Times. (Editors Note: The Globe has already been caught attempting to attack the veracity of George Elliott, Kerrys commanding officer in Vietnam.)
In addition, the DNC has deployed a six member team from their press shop whose sole responsibility will be to spin and counter-spin stories about the members of Vietnam Veterans for Truth with pro-Kerry media entities, like the Times.
When asked if this was just another example of John Kerry slandering Vietnam Vets like he did in 1971 as a member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War our source snapped, No! This is warfare. The only way were going to get out of this is to force everyone to question their motives and credibility.
If they want to spread rumors and stories about John Kerry, well spread rumors and stories about them. And some of the things they did in Vietnam were a lot worse than what they say John Kerry did, our source concluded ominously.
Stay tuned. We will keep you posted as this nasty story develops. Posted on Sunday, August 08 @ 14:36:36 EDT by admin
The Dems had better be careful, these vets are committed. There are other vets out there from Vietnam who may become violent if these men are smeared. This is a powder keg that has been 30+ years in the making and it will explode with right ammo, verbal or otherwise. Kerry started it with his war crimes accusations, and his testimony before the Senate 30 yrs ago, and Kerry is walking on dangerous waters at this point. If he allows the democrats to smear these men it will be a declaration of war against Vietnam Vets, and it could backfire, bigtime!!
This is not a movie by a stupid white man, this is the integrity and valor of patriotic men....it won't be overlooked. Some of these men are mental from atrocities they endured. Some are still fighting to return psychologically, and I wouldn't put anything past them at this point.... An attack on Swiftboat Vets could become a raging war of its own.
The last thing I ever wanted to do in my life time was to review the Vietnam War again.
Al Sharpton would have been a better Democratic Candidate.
Having said that, send soldiers (money) to the Swifty's because they are going to need a war chest for this battle.
I get most of my information (or links to information) from FReepers spouting off here. Then I share that information with others who don't otherwise have access to news that is suppressed by the main stream media. I have liberal and middle-of-the-road relatives and friends who are influenced by the information I've gathered here. I'm proud to say I changed the mind of a friend who had planned to vote for Kerry. Hubby and I eat most of our meals at a couple local diners, that happen to have bulletin boards. It only occurred to me a couple days ago, but I'm going to start using those bulletin boards to post info about kerry. Info that I've gathered here. So, fellow FReepers, keep spouting off here, preaching to the choir. I like to think of it as Trickle Down Politics.
Terri's and Johnny Reed's too
I don't understand it either, except I get the impression that the medals were sort of automatic for certain things. I think it was just his word, and the people on his boat were basically part of his supporting story. The people on the other boats in the area at the time say the incident never happened, but of course they weren't asked about it at the time, and probably wouldn't have said anything anyway.
Time to fight for our Vietnam Veterans as they once fought at their nation's call!
Well, fair is fair, how about Kerry's complete military records, personal credit history, medical history (I want the botox and chin surgery scoop) and his divorce records? Is this really the way the Dems want to go? They are crumbling.
Had John Kerry not strutted out at his biggest moment to date, saluted and said he was reporting for duty I might agree. But he did and now it's all relevant for a country at war.
Kerry wants the GOP to take him on on his military service. He's begging for it.
That's why we should not do it.
They're here!
#172. Thanks, popparollo, for the encouragement. I will continue to do what I can.
God Bless,

Terry McAuliffe is on record saying that they would go after Bush's Viet Nam dodge. There is no doubt that the Dems, in fact I've heard them already, will say that they will put Kerry's Viet Nam record up against Bush's any day of the week. But they are losing control of the issue on those terms. While the general public might not much care who was in Viet Nam and who wasn't they are more likely to care if one has falsely advertised their heroism.
For them to tell of their experiences with Kerry is quite fair. It is for us to determine motive/believability. I do not think we should dig into their personal, unrelated lives to harm Kerry. Their accuracy might be challenged, but their personal lives should not be fodder.
Our veterans should be approached as men and women who did the right thing. Those who are not running for an office should not be gutted or filleted.
This is an admission of his slandering of VietNam Vets in 1971.
Maybe Kerry has 900 FBI files of his own?
McCain seems unstable at times. I know a lot of Arizona freepers who would like to vote him out of office but he's the darling of the media.
I'm looking forward to hear what Drudge has to say about all this tonight.
Legality doesn't matter to them.
Thank You.
Amen...BTTT!
Hello Darlin....thanks!
