Fiorina's story -- that she went from "Secretary to CEO" -- is more embellishment, than truth.
In fact, Fiorina didn't rise from secretarial pool to CEO, like a real world version of "Working Girl." The daughter of the dean of Duke Law School, and top Nixon advisor, she took a part-time job as a secretary, while in law school, and then was put on the management track at AT&T. I worked in the dining hall in college, but I don't go around saying that I rose from burger flipper to Presidential Campaign press secretary. Then there is the now widely debunked claim, by Fiorina, that she watched Planned Parenthood videos where a fetus is still alive, while Planned Parenthood officials say the fetus must be kept alive to harvest its brain.
Indeed, Fiorina probably did watch a "documentary" released by the Center for Medical Progress, called "Human Capital." And, in that documentary, there is footage of a fetus, though it is not clear if it is at Planned Parenthood, or if it is even an abortion or miscarriage. But no one in that dubbed footage talks about keeping the fetus alive to harvest its brain.
In what is becoming a pattern, Fiorina takes what is true, and adds made-up embellishments (lies) to it, for dramatic effect.
Fiorina, however, is staking her whole campaign on people believing that she's not a politician. She leaves no opportunity untaken to proclaim herself to be outside from, and the enemy of the "professional political class."
She makes these claims, despite the fact that she was: A top advisor for John McCain in his 2008 campaign; the Fundraising Chair for the Republican National Committee; and a Senate candidate in California in 2010.

Fiorina a fan of Hillary ?

The media are raving about how she has gone up in the polls and I just hope people wake up to who she really is and she is not a conservative, nor a republican.
Don’t worry about Carly’s past failures; Tilda Swinton will make her look like a BUSINESS GENIUS when the movie is made for HBO or whoever.
Of course, Tilda will have to be made up less attractively than she is naturally.
What Carly Said About Life

Fiorina is not on my list of candidates that could possibly get my vote. The more I hear about her and the more I see her and hear her speak the less I like her.
I have no use for Fiorina, but if she was “The daughter of the dean of Duke Law School, and top Nixon advisor, she took a part-time job as a secretary, while in law school, and then was put on the management track at AT&T.” Then she in fact did go from secretary to CEO. WHo knows? She might have been a decent secretary. There are other folks born into families of influence who would not have taken such a position in the first place.
It is a known fact that organs used for harvesting are better if still alive when taken. If Fiorina messed up on attribution (and I won’t take HuffPo’s word on it) that is a minimal transgression.
Hopefully she has that effect on many more people in the coming weeks.
She’s a Sociopathic Lizard who doesn’t have a warm thought or bone in her body. She only gets attention when she stirs up the dust, a cheap gladiatress. She’s got the Bread and Circuses down pat. She is loyal to nothing and nobody except herself.
I always suspected the secretary bit was a lie. Very few companies promote from the typing pool. And her father was the dean of Duke? Another elitist!
Almost every candidate had a job during teenage years as newspaper delivery kid, or mowing neighbor’s lawn, or working in a fast food.
That candidate can not then say he/she went from hamburger flipping to become a US senator. We can all make such lofty claims!
The fact is, Fiorina was NOT put on the management track at AT&T because of her part time job as secretary while going to law school. It was because of her father’s connections and her law degree.
another troll posting at lunch time!
“management track” is a bit of misnomer because if you’re a white male, there is no grand architect of your career who is pulling for you to get the next promotion and moving up some ladder. It’s more of an “EEO” track, whereby corporate HR people who deny there are any quotas but whose every action proves the exact opposite, do extraordinary things to push certain female and minority employees into positions where they will help meet EEOC goals. I think Fiorina has some natural talent but was clearly benefited by “diversity goals” as part of a “protected class”.
Boil it down.
Fiorina and trump are both business “moguls”.
Both have had success both in life and business.
Trump is still successful.
Carly can only attempt to run for political office to remain relevant.
Trump can “take-it-or-leave-it” and still be successful.
TEST: Carly isn’t campaigning on her own money.
Nailed it/her.
:: She is loyal to nothing and nobody except herself ::
And separates her from The Donald in what ^specific^ ways?
LOL
She had no successes in business. She almost completely ruined HP.
I am not saying Fiorina is a dunce, but what I am saying is, Carly is Brian Williams on steroids. She lies without breaking a sweat.
what is Bri-Wi???
Carly’s so called business successes have been dubious at best and some say downright disastrous for the companies involved. It’s a huge stretch to call her a ‘mogul’ of any kind.
The American standard of success would certainly include being named CEO/Pres/CoBoard of major corporations.
I cannot say that Fiorina did not achieve success in business equivalent to these definitions.
She was a successful business person.
What she did with it is her downfall.
