Oh Geeze! This makes me furious. I was a big Clooney fan, and I do mean Big FAN! But now he is off my list of favorites forever.
What a moron he is! If Al Gore had been President on 911 the very same steps would have been taken with him. Bush did not run and hide, he was being protected as head of state, and I am sure Georgie knows this!

A young Clooney got his start on TV at the age of 5, when he would appear on his father's talk-show, The Nick Clooney Show.

Although he went off to major in Broadcast Journalism at Northern Kentucky University, he always wanted to be a professional baseball player.

Clooney only turned to acting after he was rejected from a Cincinnati Reds tryout.

He got his start in commercials and in a horseracing film his cousin Ferrer was making. He finally got a break when he was cast in a medical comedy in 1984, incidentally named ER. He became known as an actor whose face was recognized, as he was in every TV show, but whose name remained unknown.

Clooney became most famous for his roles as the carpenter George on The Facts of Life from 1985 to 1987, and Roseanne's womanizing boss Booker, in Roseanne, from 1988 to 1989. He made appearances on The Golden Girls and Sisters, but was cast in a string of failed shows such as Combat High, Sunset Beat, Baby Talk, and Bodies of Evidence.

Clooney was also appearing on the big screen, in campy films such as Return to Horror High and Grizzly II: The Predator in 1987, and Return of the Killer Tomatoes! in 1988

NOW MAY I SAY BULLSHIT!

>>What's wrong with their vocabulary: couldn't they come up with 'schmuck'?"

Sure he could come up with schmuck, but he was talking about Hussein & company, not University of Kentucky dropouts who are sons of Cincinnati television personalities and nephews of legendary singers.

...fascinating insight into the mind of an idiot. I'm only sorry his looks betray his complete lack of brain skills. He is consistent though. I have yet to see him say anything that remotely resembles common sense and intelligence.

Clooney makes a living pretending he's somebody he isn't and people believe that he is that person. Now he is pretending to be important, and that his opinion matters... he's an actor pretending to be something he isn't.
Now if only HE knew that!

Hmph....a thread with the Dixie Chicks in the title, and no one has whined about it being in News/Activism yet. Old folks must've went to bed.

Seriously, what is the last entertaining (or original) thing that Clooney did? Ocean's Eleven and Solaris were remakes while Oh Brother and Confessions of a Moronic Mind tanked. I've seen none of them, so I can't say if they were any good - but there's a lot more stuff I'd rather watch.

"Reagan knew more about leadership than that, and he was as bad a symbol of America as I can think of, off-hand.

Say what?? Is Clooney totally nuts??

George Cloony now admits that EVERYONE in the Saddam-loving crowd is an idiot because he wants "someone smart to stand up and say BUKK $HIT." Which implies that the leftist idiots - including himself - who HAVE stood up and said bull $hit are just that : idiots. We of the mainstream agree, and thank Mr. Cloony for his honesty about the intellectual acumen of the average "anti-war protestor."

As for Cloony's comments about the president running and hiding on 9/11, Mr Cloony proves he knows nothing about disaster protocol, originally developed to permet government to run in the event of a nuclear holocaust.

Cloony once went ballistic on a Turkish reporter who thought his movie Solaris was boring. IIRC, Georgie sputtered something to the effect of "you've never been an actor, so you're in no position to criticise my movies." 'Course, George was far less elequent than my paraphrase.

WHY does George not know about nuclear protocol? Why does he not know the function of Air Force One? Most of us learned that in high school civics or POD. In short, just how many years experience does George have as head of state that he critizes the perfectly correct - and expected by those of us who know how our government works - actions of the president of the United States when the United States was under attack?

Personally, I'm _GLAD_ Bush wasn't visible for the first 6-8 hours after the attacks.

Hid? Damn right.

What did this wank want? "George W. Bush standing on the lawn outside the Whitehouse right now is..."

Sheesh. I used to like Clooney. I've modified my opinion.

"The US can't win wars" WRONG"
"Bush hid" Wrong
"The War is wrong" Wrong

Douchebag.
