"The conservatives on here denying the affordability crisis are engaged in what I can only describe as an act of political suicide. They're also lying, which is the worst part. Grocery prices are up. Housing. Energy. Insurance. Health care. Basic living expenses. It's real. It's happening. Denying it just makes you look out of touch, deceitful, and untrustworthy. It's also a completely unnecessary and unforced error. No credible person is claiming that Trump caused these price surges. You don't have to disgrace yourself by denying the reality in front of your face just to prove your loyalty to Trump. The causes for the most part are multi faceted, complicated, and longstanding. That's true. So let's discuss them. Debating whether the problem exists at all -- or, if it does exist, whether it counts as a problem -- is a total waste of time, and makes you look like a shill and a fraud."

This has caused the development of an entitlement mentality. It's making society worse. People expect too much and for little or no work.
“Prices are not down.”
That would be deflation. Nobody is claiming that.
“I notice that the “regular” price went up 50% in the last year.”
You perception.
“And gas prices? They have gone up.”
Right now gas prices are volatile due to the Iran war. Up and down. Down from the $4.84 peak in 2022. Down from the $4.35 recent peak.
That is excellent news, sir!
This can be done by so many, but I think most think it can’t help or work for them.
They just need to try. It’s not rocket science, but it can bring miracles.
I take much bigger risks in buying stocks than driving to neighborhood restaurants and grocery stores. Been driving since 1960 without a single accident. My liability coverage will be lot less than what the lawyer will sue me anyways. No way I am going to pay for several million in liability for complete immunity from lawyers. It is much easier to drive defensively. I drove 70 miles round trip 6 days every week crossing entire city of Chicago from downers Grove to may work place on Stoney Island & 95the street, for 23 years. Not even a fender bender in half a million miles of driving through crazy Chicago traffic!
Have not had any incidents on my property since 1962 when I rented my first residence. My Current house is on a dead end street, and only side walk is on opposite side of street. No one walks on my side of road. And we never get snow or ice in Florida anyways.
Life is a risky experiment. I became financially strong by taking risks in stock markets. The risks I am taking by cancelling all insurance is a cake walk compared to all other risks I had to take, such as driving to work through worst ghetto in Chicago for 23 years.
As someone said, no risk, no gain. I am not bragging, I am simply stating the facts.
Everything will be fine, we won’t run out of money, the Federal reserve will print all that we need and let us borrow til the end of time.

I’m just saying be careful who you follow.
Be careful who you follow.
There is one thing and one thing alone that is causing high prices....inflation. Inflation is caused by increasing the money supply. Increasing the money supply is caused by borrowing money to pay for things you can’t afford.
Our country is $40 Trillion in debt.
$29 Trillion occurred under the other 44 Presidents. $11 Trillion of that debt occurred in the 6 years Trump has been President.
There is no way around it....he is responsible of quite a lot of the problem. Certainly not all of it. But a lot.
I guess that lets Schumer and Pelosi off of the hook.
I simply can not over-state how much daily aerobic exercise has benefitted me health wise. In my early 60’s my exercise was playing golf, 5 times a week 18 holes, pushing my golf cart. That was 30 miles of walking every week! Every one of my health issues disappeared one by one, without any medicines. Heart issues, blood pressure issues, blood glucose issues, joint pains, panic attacks, you name it, I had them in my mid-50’s. It was mind boggling how playing golf can cure all of that. I quit golf at age 75 due to move to FLorida, but kept on my daily routine of walks. Now at age 86, it is 27 minutes daily walk on a treadmill with 1 lb weights on each wrist. Anyone can start that routine even after reaching retirement age. 25 min/mile speed is not hard on the body.
Wait, don’t you know no one can ever say anything positive about Trump?
What an excellent example of true grit and determination.
Thank you for that.
My own life was tougher. But things were not outrageous. Tuition was only 700 plus books .
The difference is that they never denied they were going to spend and borrow as much as possible while in office. We got what we paid for with them.
When any Republican tried to stand up to Trump and stop his spending on Covid, wars, foreign countries, etc... he directed all his minions to attack them and they lost their primary or were forced to resign.
Why not ever mention the important number - the change in real wages (income, wealth). They are up. And, as in Trump’s first term, they are up more for bottom half than upper half
Thank you for bringing it out. We can have incredible results by addressing root causes we don't even understand. Give a healthier step a try! You may find out you can get back some youth you never thought you could.
You are an example, sir. I am really glad you have done and do this, still.
My wife has said that she, too, feels better than she has, in years, with some chronic issues also going away.
It really is as simple as eating better, getting some exercise, and destressing, where possible. Our bodies were meant to be better and they can be very resilient, even though we become older.
I can tell when a number is higher than it was last month. So can you.
Grocery prices have risen since last year. That is for a basket of selected items where I check the item price and the total price for the basket. Every item in the basket has a higher price this year than last year.
That is a solid "perception". Otherwise called "data".
Gas prices around here peaked at $4.98 per gallon and are now at $4.09 per gallon. The price was less than $3.00 per gallon last year. Granted, that is volatility. Gas prices are not a good index of inflation by themselves. But they are substantially higher than they were last year.
It's the Iran war pushing things over the top. That activity is financed by inflation.
So is the "resistance" of the Deep State, in the form of at least $1 trillion in "Lawfare", Medicaid fraud, Welfare fraud, Social Security fraud, Subsidized Commercial and Academic fraud, and so on.
The money is already spent and will show up as higher prices over the next six months.
We are not done with inflation. It is the hidden tax that finances excessive government spending. We have not cut government spending. We are not going to cut government spending. It is only a matter of which gang of thieves can put themselves in charge of passing out the loot.
OK, Boomer
Iran has been weeks away from a Nuke since 1996
You probably still believe Saddam had WMDs
And no doubt you will believe whatever BS thing they say about Turkey as an excuse for why we have to fight them next.
Putting a country's whose people hate us and whose people vote 80-20% Dem over what should America's top priorities, mass deportations and defeating the Democrats.. Well I don't think even Forrest would be dumb enough to believe and support that..
