Over $10 trillion was invested in the US last year to rebuild the manufacturing base, build data centers for AI and build power plants needed for those data centers. But its not like flicking a light switch. It takes time to buy sites, get regulatory approval, draw up building plans, etc all before the materials are purchased and finally the large scale hiring happens.

Well we're at the stage when the materials are being purchased on a very large scale and shipped to building sites. The economy will be booming by 2028 so whomever Trump's successor is will have an easy time of it getting elected IMO. The question is if the public will become aware of this fast enough to help Republicans in the midterms. Obviously the corporate media will do all they can to bury this in order to help Democrats.

Show everyone you know this data. Trump has engineered a massive economic resurgence with tariffs, reduced regulatory costs, reduced taxes and plentiful and cheap energy. Its coming.

The Dems are busy scaring us with inflation....like we're all going to be too poor to buy our very expensive food and gas for our cars.

Well, I'm eating the same and so is everyone I know and 45 million folks were on the road.

Life is good..and I'm living on SS.

Great news, silver prices will increase due to increased demand. Not so much paper silver but actual silver

It might just be coincidence but I live in a small trailer park and the dumpster is getting more fuller this year. It’s been said when money starts drying up the trash thrown away starts drying up. When people have more money they buy more and have more trash to throw out.

The freaks that are pushing AI say that they’re gonna be so many jobs from people building these data centers, but they never mention that after the data centers are built there’s really nothing to do and the AI is just gonna take your job

AI is much bigger bubble than the internet bubble from recent years.

Except none of that is jobs. All those things are built to not need people, and in the case of the AI data centers, make lots of other businesses not need people. Companies are going to make a lot of money. PEOPLE are not.

Data Centers do require some people, but its not just data centers. There will also be a lot of power plants built to support them and there are a lot of factories being built too.

You are probably off by 25 or 30 years. Railroad and electric utility stock went bankrupt decades before those technologies became economically transformative.

Data centers need a handful of people, meanwhile they’re actively hoping the software running in those data centers will eliminate THOUSANDS of jobs. Power plants again BARELY need people, highly automate. Not nearly as many as the data centers want to displace. Same with manufacturing, especially factories that are hooked up to those data centers using AI automation.

Again all of this will make companies a bunch of money, but the people ain’t making @#$%.

oh definitely. they’ve thrown trillions into that monster. I used to play with AI back when it was free, but as soon as they started charging, I stopped being interested in it.

A lot of “ that” is jobs.
You need to do more reading about the manufacturing and industrial projects actually being invested
Boeing Aircraft sales, US steel industry partnership with Japan, huge LNG project investment in TX by Qatar, more oil and gas energy flowing and more infrastructure needed to deliver and distribute it, more refineries, more auto manufacturing back in US, new US Navy CNO committed to Trumps goal of ship building in the US

Trailer Park trash volume: Now, there’s an economic indicator you don’t see every day.

Some of it is turning into jobs. The head of Needham small-cap stock fund was on CNBC yesterday saying this is the best environment for small business that he’s seen in his 35 years. Their fund was up 74% in the past year. All this huge AI cap spending is rolling down to smaller businesses who make things, and they are hiring plenty.

I think this article is right. We’re just now starting to see the impact of a ton of investment. We’re just now at the phase where hiring really picks up. The next year or two are going to be incredible.

I am also on S.S. & I want to know how this will make any good for my “enriching”....especially with this huge debt we have acquired. None of it is mine at this point & any “enriching” at this point in time has been due to MY efforts to save.

Become an electrician, if interested in the trades, or an electrical engineer if going to college. It ALL needs power to run. No power, no AI.

and all the factories being built? Are those going to be 100% automated too?

They don’t need to be 100% automated to not add much in the way of jobs. And 100% automation is the goal.
