For many people, a trip to the airport is simply a means to an end. Whether you're traveling for vacation or business, you'll need to catch your flight in order to get there - and that's where the airport comes in.
All airports have the same goal, but any traveler knows that all of them aren't created equally. Some airports are sprawling ecosystems with multiple terminals and acres of space, while others can be traversed entirely on foot.
One airport may have more opportunities for scenic views, while others offer better food options. The Washington Post recently ranked the best airports in the country, and the No. 1 choice passed nearly every test with flying colors.
The Post ranked Portland's International Airport (PDX) as the top airport in America.
The airport was praised for its architecture, including the massive video walls that line the terminal space. Stadium-style seating wood benches offer a holistic view of the terminal, allowing observers to see most of the foot traffic in the busy space.......
Other top airports on the list include Long Beach Airport in California, Washington D.C.'s Reagan National Airport, the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and Seattle's Paine Field International Airport.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Washington Post is not an airport.
Must have meant Wiley Post airport in Alaska.
Wapo?............
What a retarded headline.
It's not a news paper either.
It’s just bad writing in the headline.
I bet they do it on purpose to get people to read the article to see what they’re talking about.
Good one!
Best airport in the country is Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), the McNamara Terminal where Delta has a hub.
Well it’s sure not the Evans terminal at DTW, which sucks big time.
Best airport in the country is Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)“
No l don’t think so. I don’t like it at all.
I think it’s more that their hires are poorly educated, and they no longer pay for human editors or proofreaders - they let machines do it all.
ChatGPT has got to make a living too.
What a headline.
After landing at Chicago O’Hare airport and being told that it was a 22 minute walk to the gate for my next flight, I’ve become very fond of smaller airports. The Traverse City, Michigan airport is fantastic.
1. “The Washington Post HAS Named the No. 1 Airport in the Country”
2. “The Washington Post WAS Named the No. 1 Airport in the Country”
Big difference between 1 and 2.
“For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost...”
Up in the sky, Junior Birdmen!
The Compost has runways?
No!
They wouldn’t! ;)
What normal person would want to fly into Portland?
