A family attorney and the sister of slain Texas soldier Vanessa Guillen both dismissed a report in the Atlantic on Tuesday alleging that former President Donald Trump refused to pay for the Army specialist’s funeral and disparaged her ethnicity.
The piece, written by the magazine’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, claims Trump fumed about a $60,000 bill he received from Guillen’s family for her funeral during a December 2020 Oval Office meeting — allegedly telling aides, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f–king Mexican.”
...
Mayra Guillen, Vanessa’s sister, slammed the Atlantic report as “hurtful & disrespectful,” and indicated that the former president treated her family with “respect” in the aftermath of her sister’s brutal killing.
“President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa,” she added. “In fact, I voted for President Trump today.”
... The Atlantic did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
In 2020, Goldberg reported that Trump referred to dead US troops as “suckers” and “losers” on the morning of a planned visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France in 2018.
Trump denied that report.

Democrat Party tactics. Very similar to Harry Reid’s “It worked, didn’t it,” slime.
Check his basement.
The Left: nothing but lies and hate, 24/7/365.
The media lies are about to go into overdrive.
What disgusting filth the Atlantic is.
This elitist lying Rat probably never donated very little to help an unfortunate person. They accuse others of what they probably do instead.
Unfortunately, there can’t be a lawsuit because it wasn’t the Guillen family that was slandered.
Why is this not an open and shut case case of libel?

I was at President Trump’s meeting with the Guillén family because I assisted with translation that day.
President Trump was genuinely concerned about Vanessa Guillén and appalled by the tragedy the Guillén Family were enduring.
@mguilen_
was poised and confident in advocating for her sister then and she’s right again today: The Atlantic hit piece is a lie.
For example, President Trump had zero interest in the cameras. He met with the Guillén family privately for twenty minutes and offered the press gaggle solely if it would assist them in honoring Army Specialist Guillén and raising awareness about her case. He even told them that day that the press are vipers.
Boy was President Trump right.

Goldberg is a typical Democrat journalist - truth, facts and data mean nothing to them - and they know their fellow journalists won’t hold them accountable, and will usually repeat their lies as “fact.”
Home stretch, Dems are falling in the polls so “journalists are going to pull out all the stops, truth be damned” to smear the Republican candidates.
What’s that old adage about lies being repeated often enough?
Reminds me of the lie told about Sarah Palin that she apparently said she could “see Russia from her home” - media dutifully reported that it was Palin herself who said this when it was Tina Fey misquoting and parodying Palin who actually said this.
The info at this link explains everything....

Jeffrey goldberg.....Pure evil !
I had an educated lady tell me tgat Palin actually said she could see RUSSIA from her house! I made her Google it and she was shocked that it was Tina Fey that said it !
“The Atlantic did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.”
Of course not. The plant has been made and every big media whore has their talking points and now all the people will be told are these obvious and blatant lies without any question or correction.
It’s so incredible that Harry Reid actually said that.
A statement as concise/pithy as it is damning to him and everyone like him.
The Atlantic is filled with garbage, old crabs and sewage.
It’s also the name of an ocean.
