Georgia was able to attract another 223,000 voters to the polls tonight, bringing its 2024 turnout to 1,934,585 voters.
This marks about 40% of the total expected turnout, the highest turnout of any state currently voting. Tonight's updated racial demo update has a small caveat.
⚪White - 59.43% (+0.07%)
⚫Black - 26.79% (-0.59%)
🟡Other - 8.97%
🟣Hispanic - 2.24%
🟢Asian - 2.17%
🟤American Indian - 0.39%
*Yesterday, GA SoS had about 20k too many voters sorted into this bucket; today, they have about 50k too few. The morning update is likely to tweak these percentages a touch, but these rates are based on the 1.88 million that were recorded correctly.
Dade & Brantley County are two more that have crossed 100% of their '22 EV turnout; the floodgates will open in the rurals tomorrow when another three dozen do the same.
The GA Sheet is updated.

Bear in mind that Blacks were almost 40% of the early voter turnout in 2012 and ended up at 33% in 2012. Their percentage was IIRC, 32% in 2020. The fact that they’re only 26% speaks to low enthusiasm for Heels Up Harris with Black voters.
How in the world can they get racial demographic splits? I don’t recall my voter registration form asking my skin color.
And don’t forget that Trump is supposedly winning a historically high percentage of black male votes (yeah, surrrrrre) and that means we can’t even count the overall black vote as being 90% Democrat, or close to 90%, as it normally is!!!!!
/hopium
Is there information on voter party affiliation? I didn’t see it.
They will most likely stay home.
That’s what I was thinking.
I wonder how she is doing with the South Asian vote.

Georgia doesn’t register voters by party, so there’s never going to be early voting data for that.
But some southern states do record race on voter registrations. Louisiana does for sure, I believe North Carolina does too (and possibly South Carolina). I don’t know about Georgia, but they must otherwise how would they be able to report racial data?
“some southern states do record race on voter registrations”
Wow, that’s astonishing in this day and age. I’d think that would be a sure-fire case of voter suppression in the hands of the voting rights people. Are you sure about that?

Yep.
Here is the latest report for Louisiana:

Thanks. Wow.
