I was surprised to learn that the population of Israel has been disarmed and that only 2% of the population owns or is allowed to use guns.
The videos on the attack on Israel are horrifying, once Hamas overtook the frontier defenses, they were allowed to roam free in pickups and motorcycles and go from house to house into a completely defenseless population.
I recall seeing a video taken from the balcony of a building in which Hamas terrorist could be seen in a white pickup parked on the street. I kept thinking: They are sitting ducks! why doesn't the guy take his rifle and shoot them dead instead of shooting a video?
It was only later that I found out that Israelis don't own guns. Why?
That horror will be repeated here in the USA if we ever allow the leftist nutcases destroy our second amendment.
I propose that Israel should re-arm their population, and that we should never relinquish our rights.
What a horrible example of what happens when the government disarms their population.

yeah i was shocked by that too. i thought all israelis were armed and trained by virtue of their mostly involuntary military conscription.
they have relaxed gun restrictions at this moment.
When they come for our guns we might as well turn them in bullets-first, because they are going to kill us anyway.

The bigger problem in Israel was their government allowing Hamas to get this far.
In the US many nutjob shooters select a church, synagogue, school or shopping area (Orthodox Jewish food store) because they will face no armed opposition there. Easy slaughter of unarmed victims.
The Israelis should take the advice of a Jewish leader who once said, “if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!” (Luke 22:36)
Israeli’s should be given rocket launchers. So they can shoot back.

Indeed. It is insane not to be arm d in USA israel or almost anywhere. You can be attacked personally. And when few carry, the Islamonazis and other enrmies kniw they have a soft target to attack your country or neighborhood. Like just “asking for it.”
