yeah i was shocked by that too. i thought all israelis were armed and trained by virtue of their mostly involuntary military conscription.
All 300k reservists are allowed to carry their miltary arms in uniform or civvies 24/7!

So did I. I think that used to be the case.
Who makes those decisions? Look at a map of the middle east and see what countries surround Israel. Compare sizes. Brutal enemies. Why would Israel not allow its citizens to be armed? I don’t get it.
But the Israeli gov made sure the population got all of their covid vaccines.
