We are just peasants and cannot know why a woman killed 6 people in Nashville, why a wealthy middle class dude killed dozens from a hotel window in Las Vegas. We have no right to know where govt money is spent or even where the money comes from.
With the advent of digital currency - probably by the end of this year - our Constitutional Republic will be ended; the govt will control every dime we spend. People opposing abortion, opposing 'grooming' children, opposing undeclared wars all over the world, etc., will just start disappearing.
You won't have electricity; you won't have gasoline; you won't have meat... and you won't own anything and you will be happy - or else.

Did any of you see the PR team for Cindy McCain show off their talents on TV this weekend? (don’t remember the channel). Through interview with Cindy herself, we learn that she has always been a Democrat, and was even introduced to John McCain by no other than her good friends Jill and Joe. She is now saving the world through a UN program to provide food for people in poor countries. Loves working and always has. (though I’d guess this is her first job if it is actually true and not just made up over the week since Bud debacle began). On the tremendous difficulty of finding this food for the world’s poor— claims even her children asked “how can you do this?” as she left the family home to go to “work” at UN. She replied something about loving to work.
Really dreary stuff.
I questioned at first the reason for this interview— why is she being dragged out? — then remembered her inherited fortune is through her Dad’s Anheuser-Busch distributorship. Sure, she’s coming in to save her fortune before anyone mentions her, isn’t she. Timing? They are scared and are now really embarrassing themselves.

We get pretty big tides at this latitude. Sea level can vary by 25 feet or more between low and high tides. High tide today at noon will be 16 feet. Low tide this evening at 6:20 will be minus 0.7 feet. Makes for some pretty ripping currents up or down the narrows. "Timing is everything"

I’m not sure they do, though it’s a widely-held belief. This article refutes the popular misunderstanding and explains the nature of high tides.
The Bay of Fundy between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick has the highest tides in the world, and the Bay is only at around 45° latitude, which is roughly the same latitude as Bangor, Maine.

Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and, to a lesser degree, the Sun. I tried to look up a scientific explanation for why tides are less at the equator but didn't find one that is short and concise.
Having said that, in my personal experiences sailing in the tropics and in the high latitudes tides close to the equator are very little or nil and can safely be ignored. Tides and the resulting currents in the high latitudes can be very dangerous.
