With Conservatives point finger at Trump after GOP’s underwhelming election results: 'He's never been weaker'
Many conservatives say Tuesday's election results show it's 'time to move on' from Trump. (Fox News'', November 9, 2022), as well as the Wall Street Journal - what do Freepers think?

The only republican that can replace Trump now is Kari Lake...but she will have to be VP for 4 years...then she will win...DeSantis is Jeb Bush good locally will be a disaster nationally once people take a close look...he has no shot against Trump even in Florida.

Time to move on from Trump.

DeSantis 2024!

You, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the Globalist/Establishment wing of the GOP agree!

Congratulations!

No one is blaming him for anything.

Dems/Repub registration is 2-1 in New York. Fetterman had the luxury of 500,000 more registered Dems.

The problem is....Dems are stuck on stupid....and they know how to get out the vote.

Those Freepers old enough to remember should think back to red China in the 1960s...specifically,the "Red Guards". Today's Rat Party is controlled by Mao Tse Tung 2.0 and, with the enthusiastic support of Rush's "drive by media", they're recreating Mao's ravishing the countryside.

DJT is one of the more prominent victims of that effort.

To put it another way,DJT will *always* be Hitler's evil twin at NPR and the Amazon Compost...and we all know what that means.

The Rat Party's leaders are utterly depraved...but they're *not* stupid. They'd be far less dangerous if they were.

From article: "During an appearance on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” DeSantis discussed this potential outcome, saying that his success there was proof you did not need to “move left” on borders and amnesty to win the Hispanic vote."

I’m not sure about how different things would be if he hadn’t been such an idiot, but Biden had everything laid out to make this election about Trump instead of about him, and Trump ran straight into the trap, with no cares in the world except burnishing his own campaign.

He held all these campaign rallies, but they were really campaigns for himself; he didn’t raise a penny for anyone. And as it was going to sh*t, he acted like he couldn’t be happier. You know who Trump helped outperform the polls by a ton? DeSantis.

independent voters cannot be defined by any particular issue.

There are many independents that vote 100% straight Republican, while others vote the other way and others who may vote a mix. And many (probably a record) independents voted and support Donald Trump.

Trump really doesn’t matter enough any more to be assigned blame. His 15 minutes are over.

People are rired of mean tweets and insults and responding to every gesture from others. Only immature school boys act that way. It is opposite of “presidential” behavior. Running for president is esentially a likability contest. One does not enhance likability by constantly putting down others. Where was the need for Trump to call Desantis “Ron Sanctimonious”?

n00b, are you just startgting this tread to cause infighting? There are plenty of threads where people have already expressed their opinions.

I can see no purpose other than a flame war.

5 people

https://www.gop.com/about-our-party/rnc-leaders/

168 people

https://www.gop.com/about-our-party/rnc-members/

Add to that the other organizations of GOP politicians, focus groups, and entire apparatus.

But it’s all one man’s fault.

Perhaps. But the "red wave" you describe would have put this country exactly where it was in 2011-16 ... with a docile, compliant bunch of Republican losers in Congress passing one useless bill after another -- along with endless continuous funding resolutions -- to enable a corrupt Democrat to carry out his party's agenda through the executive branch of the U.S. government with no opposition.

Cry me a river if you want to criticize me for not GAF that we missed out on that opportunity.
