Trump could not get the support of independent votes, because independent voters want a Europeanized America, where it is a fiscally responsible socialist country.
Unless you give them that, you will not gain their support.

Trump really stepped in it this time,
It’s all over for him now.
And this time I really, really, really, really mean it!

There were two reasons that there was no red wave: Donald Trump and abortion. Whether the people here like it or not, those were the two reasons. If Donald Trump had ridden off into the sunset after the 2020 election and the Supreme Court had not completely overturned their abortion precedent, there would have been a red wave.

I’m actually surprised how the abortion was so powerful of a tool by democrats.

    You and Karl Rove agree.
I donβt.

Probably overstated. At this point in time, anyone who can view the Democrats as competent managers of the economy or foreign affairs, or anyone who can mindlessly agree that such a thing as election deniers even exists, are persons that cannot be affected by reason or a lack of reason from any point on the compass.
Trump could have done different things but this would likely have been the outcome anyway. There is no fixing the widespread stupidity of the low information voters.
