One of the primary reasons for immoral women deciding to have an abortion is the potential discovery of infidelity. Were a husband or even a boyfriend to discover that their "woman" has been sleeping around can lead to severe consequences. Men are also advocates of the practice to absolve them of consequences as well. This is not to excuse immoral men for doing the same thing, but is a major reason for demanding that abortion be legal...it removes the evidence of wrong-doing. All of the other supposed reasons for needing an abortion represent a miniscule amount of cases relative to the ones mentioned here. Pro-abortion advocates will never talk about that subject, but it is the truth of the matter.
Secondarily, getting pregnant at the wrong stage of life and the subsequent time demands of caring for a baby ruin career plans. This specifically affects women more than men. Instead of having a goal of being a Godly mother, these women only focus on themselves and their careers. Again, pro-abortion followers are not going to want to talk about that.
It all comes down to the value system by which one lives. This brings the Bible into play which explains why they hate the Bible so much. If people will turn back to God and live by the values found in God's Word, all of these problems basically disappear. People refuse to live by the correct value system, try to create their own, and disaster results. Men who refuse to live their lives by those proper values are leading women into sin instead of Godliness. Men have the greater responsibility for not being LEADERS.
In our society, a miscarriage is a tragedy but an abortion is not but the results are the same. That inconsistency is what muddles this debate
__________________________
What inconsistency? A miscarriage is nature expressing a fatal deformity in the baby’s development.
An abortion is the deliberant act by the host to terminate another human being.
I think of a motel where a tornado comes and wipes out a guest as opposed to the desk clerk of the motel shooting a guest in his bed. Nature vs Murder
If it is "inconvenient" to have a baby, some women (and men) want the right to terminate the pregnancy. They justify this to themselves by pretending that the fetus as nothing more than a clump of cells and not an actual human being.
These same people will shriek that we are forcing victims of rape to carry their babies to term but come on, even the most hardline pro-lifers are not going to have a problem with a rape victim getting a D&C right after the event. So for me, that argument is a non-starter.
The most successful counseling strategy in abortion clinic sidewalk counseling has been to offer the mother protection from her own father. That man, her Dad, quite understandably does not want his daughter to be connected to the scum that knocked her up for the rest of her life, and neither does he want to pay to raise his child himself. Solve these two problems and the baby lives!
Based on the pro-abortion screeds I’ve seen in my linkedin and instagram feeds the last few days, the most unhinged rants have come from single, childless women. I suspect they’re motivated by one or both of the following:
1. Guilty consciences. They’ve had abortion(s) in the past. Even though they live in the bluest of blue states, and no one is going to try to stop them from having more abortions, it bothers them on a very deep level that the SCOTUS has ditched the idea of a “constitutional right to abortion.” The existence of a such an alleged “right” apparently did much to assuage their consciences that abortion is “right.”
2. Jealousy. If you’re a 40 year old woman with noting to show in the maternal department except of a cute dog, perhaps there’s envy and resentment of your peers who are mothers as well as the entire concept of motherhood. None will say the quiet part out loud, but how many of them, at a reptilian-brain level, are thinking, “Since i don’t have a baby, I want other women’s babies dead”?
A starting point is to recognize that a fetus is not “part of a woman’s body”. It isn’t: the DNA is different. As someone said, “follow the science”.
In both cases, you have a dead child. Is a dead child a tragedy or not? Yes and no are not a proper response but it is the response of pro-aborts.
Yes, you hit the nail on the head. If I say, “I am pro choice” then that means I would not stop you from murdering a baby in front of my very eyes. I would be there supporting you in the most heinous of crimes a person can commit. I would be more guilty than you because I know in my heart how sorrowful the act is to my creator.
The most hard line pro lifers are defined by their regarding life, any life as life. I’m one of them.
‘...Get to Church men...’
history is replete with men who have considered themselves to be the godliest of people, who pray reverentially at the appropriate times, and by most outward appearances set the holiest of examples...yet in their personal dealings with their fellow men. they exhibit the morals of the most loutish of rapscallions (homosexual prelates, anyone...?), and thus have caused untold amounts of human tragedy...
places of worship and their panoply of rituals have no monopoly on righteous behavior; a secularist who observes the cultural directive of not doing to someone that which he would not want done to himself serves just as well...
Good point. I have also observed the continuous flow of the MOST UNFEMININE and surely most undesireable women who present themselves as outraged victims. Mind boggling!
A dead child is a tragedy.
This is obvious.
What else is obvious is murder is not acceptable and miscarriages are a fact of life.
But continue to blur miscarriages with intentional killing of babies.
‘I would be more guilty than you because I know in my heart how sorrowful the act is to my creator.’
very interesting, considering your creator is, and has been for over 50 years, allowing the same thing to occur that you decry, despite being so much more powerful to stop it from occurring...
yet you chastise yourself, but not your creator...why do yu hold your creator to such a lower standard than that to which you hold yourself...?
That is true and it is why it is critically important for the pro-life movement to stop treating women as invincibly ignorant about the babies being babies between conception and birth.
Beautifully said. I bless the day you breathed air for the first time and God bless your precious mother for choosing the road less traveled.
Please identify the standard that you want the Creator held to and why.
...or maybe it’s just murderous ghouls being murderous ghoul! See my new tag line!
You are giving the mothers a free pass.
Please do explain why.
““Abortion is the sacrifice of the unborn at the altar of convenience””
Yep. That, in a sentence, captures the essence of the motivation for abortion.
It’s actually even a bit subtler. It’s a way of being sexually irresponsible without consequences.
Because they chose death and demand others choose death to make themselves feel better about their selfish choices.
Wow.
What a sweet word!
Thank you so very much!
