Firefox popped up with an update and having OK'd a couple of 'em in the past, I OK'd THIS one. ALL of my shortcuts are gone, I can't figure out how to input new ones (I had to type in FR to get HERE).
FF doesn’t want to work on YouTube often. Nothing wrong with Edge. Its the fastest one I have tried.
I do also. It's a simple procedure in whatever browser you're using. I send my backups to a thumb drive. Thumb drives now go up to 512GB and more. Enough to back up a home computer unless used for large scale operations.
“”I have nothing as I use chrome and never had said problem. “” Google tracks your every move with Chrome. Brave is one of the few that is free, fast and does not track you.
I had the exact same problem several updates back. I cannot remember how I got around or fixed it. Right after a FF update.
You can export your Firefox links to a file and then go into the Brave browser and import the file that has all the links.
Thanks for your concern but I am sure I’ll be fine.
Count on FReepers to answer questions that were not asked.
Three horizontal lines in he top right corner then Preferences.
Thanks for the reminder to back up my FF bookmarks. I periodically save them as a dated file, e.g. bookmarks_5-6-22.html. (Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks to HTML.)
I used to love Firefox, but Im done.
I don’t want to have to do that. In FF it’s right there at the top; just click on what I want.
Same here
You got lucky. A forced M$ windows update wiped out two computers. It took me two weeks to recover. YES I ghost and back up my hard drives daily. But this one wiped out all the licensing servers for my high end software. The vendors always assume I am trying to scam a second ‘free’ license and charge a $500 license recovery fee.
Can yu recommend an ad blocker too? I use firefox with the adblock plugin. Does Brave have the extension available?
Because I have plenty of room on my 3840x2160 display.
Got it.
Can I transfer my logins and passwords on thew sites I keep the to brave from another browser?
Like I were sign into FR, Other than digitally inputting it into my FR page on my Brave browser, can I transfer them over en-mass as I just did my bookmarks?
Don’t put to sea without lifeboats and don’t compute without back-ups.
I haven’t used FF in years. Palemoon is my preferred Mozilla-ish browser. I use that and SlimJet, and I have Brave installed but only use it when making financial transactions.
