Nassau Leader Bruce Blakeman calls on legal Long Island firearms owners to donate long guns to Ukraine

MINEOLA, N.Y. -- Help for Ukraine is coming in all forms, including refugee and medical supplies.
But on Thursday, an unusual collection was launched on Long Island. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman is asking legal gun owners to donate firearms, CBS2's Carolyn Gusoff reported.
"We could get a million guns to the people of the Ukraine," Blakeman said.
Citing French resistance during World War II, Blakeman is asking Americans to arm Ukrainians with donated long guns.

Notice how abrupt the shift from Covid to Ukraine was?
It’s like COVID... in the beginning, everybody is following the ‘news’. Then, over time, people do more research, find out more things, and then the light bulb goes on.
That’s why the DS has to change the topic so often. We seem to be getting on to them, and the time from release of a scare or something to fear, to when society realizes the scam or agenda behind it, is shortening.

I live in a deep blue area. I just came back from the post office. On my short drive I saw a Ukrainian flag on two properties. I see our governor's mansion (Dem) is being lit up in Ukrainian colors. My mind is just blown how easily it is to work people up into an emotional frenzy.
First it was hatred for Trump. Then it was the whole George Floyd, “Let's burn down everything due to our blind hatred of both Trump and America”. Next it was hatred/panic for Covid and anyone not vaxing or complying. Now it appears that the Russia/Ukraine issue is the latest shiny object for which intense emotional reactions are the necessary.
I honestly believe the left needs an object of hatred that allows them to feel self-righteous and morally superior.

No friggn way and not a drop of ammo either. I don't own a gun, but the first thing that struck me about this idea of people shipping over their guns is what about the ammunition.
People would be shipping 4570s,30-06s ,270s, 300 savages, model 94 Winchesters,etc. All of which require different ammo. What chaos would ensue. -Tom
