MINEOLA, N.Y. -- Help for Ukraine is coming in all forms, including refugee and medical supplies.
But on Thursday, an unusual collection was launched on Long Island. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman is asking legal gun owners to donate firearms, CBS2's Carolyn Gusoff reported.
"We could get a million guns to the people of the Ukraine," Blakeman said.
Citing French resistance during World War II, Blakeman is asking Americans to arm Ukrainians with donated long guns.

Ergo, it’s a trick, aiming to relieve the few legal gun owners into giving up their weapons.
Remember, a weapon is one of the few successful liberal attitude adjusters.
Biden will NOT ease restrictions on sending these semi-auto weapons to Ukraine.
This is simply a game to take your weapons and have a clear record of where they may find more.
Where do people get off thinking they have the right to intervene, or especially, if they even have the basic wisdom and knowledge to understand if they are causing good, or doing evil?
Sending guns into a war zone, because CNN headlines got you hyped up?

Maybe he should call on the Taliban to donate our weapons that were criminally left behind to the Ukrainians.
Soaking up the propaganda. Americans screaming do something!! Demanding we join another war. Biden will soon enough. It’s a done deal and few will object.

It is so deceitful pretending that those guns will actually be given to the Ukrainians.
The left thinks of us as suckers and figures we’d fall for this kind of stealth disarming of the American people.
My guess is that BLM and antifa will get them.
Probably you’d be in violation of about a dozen U.S. gun export laws if you donated a weapon. Remember, this is the country that has now incarcerated people for over 1 year without trip for such crimes as “parading” and “trespassing”.
