Bob Saget Autopsy Reveals Trauma Similar to 'Baseball Bat to the Head'—Doctor
Newsweek ^ | 2/16/22 | RYAN SMITH

Posted on 02/17/2022 9:29:31 AM PST by george76

Bob Saget died after sustaining what appeared to be significant head trauma, according to a recently released autopsy report.

The 65-year-old star was found unresponsive in his hotel bed in Orlando, Florida, on January 9. Last week, Saget's family announced that he had died after he "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."

However, an autopsy report by Dr. Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner of Orange and Osceola counties in Florida, suggests the head injury was far more serious than one that could have been shrugged off.

...

Dr. Gavin Britz, the chair in neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, said: "This is significant trauma. This is something I find with someone with a baseball bat to the head, or who has fallen from 20 or 30 feet."

Pointing out that the autopsy described fractures to thick parts of the skull, as well as to bones in the roof of the eye socket, Dr. Britz added: "If you fracture your orbit, you have significant pain."

Dr. Stephany, who ruled that Saget's death was accidental, determined that the injuries were likely sustained through a fall, although the report found no injuries on other parts of his body, which would have been expected if he had fallen from a great height.

...

The autopsy report also found that Saget had an enlarged heart, though there was no suggestion that this had contributed to his death.

A PCR test detected signs of COVID-19. The star said in early January that he had contracted the virus, but didn't specify when. A PCR test can detect COVID weeks after someone has recovered.

“likely sustained through a fall”

Down two flights of stairs? Off the roof of a building?

His skull was cracked in the back AND the front. Seems that would take multiple impacts. But I’m no doctor.

“Maybe he was mugged outside the hotel?.....................”

Yes, he could have been physically assaulted sometime before going to his room.

Quite a difference between "falling against a headboard" and "the impact of a baseball bat".

What motivated the police to "not suspect foul play"?

Laziness?

It is completely none of our business what his manner of death was. He was a TV actor, not some elected politician.
We the public are not ‘owed’ any explanation whatsoever.
If there are questions that may add up to a possible crime having been committed, that’s what the police are for.
This is a family drama, not an episode in a Reality Show.

Another sign that many people are bored and need something to keep their minds busy as the pandemic tapers off.
Football and basketball are not enough to hold the attention any more.

Sort of and no.

Crane had a very creepy lifestyle where he'd film himself having sex with women. His wife and kids all knew about it. The working theory was that a busness associate or husband etc of one of these dalliances beat him to death. The crime was never solved.

It wouldn't surprise me, if we start hearing all sorts of creepy things about Sagat.

Yes, he could have been physically assaulted sometime before going to his room.

If he had been mugged or accosted outside a big hotel like the Ritz-Carlton, someone would have seen it.

Anyway wasn't Lori Loughlin in "Full House" and it seems Saget's family is taking the same road of lying.

the autopsy described fractures to thick parts of the skull, as well as to bones in the roof of the eye socket,

Sounds like murder.

Yes, it really does.

“Enlarged heart. That’s usually an indicator of a long association with smoking. I wonder if he was a smoker.”

It’s also associating with vaxxing. Vax causes myocarditis and pericarditis. Especially in males.
The latter is “enlarged heart”.

“Hmm, a regular locked room mystery, eh?”

I was thinking the same thing. We need Sherlock Holmes.

I heard this on Chris Plante today. Saget predicts his own death.

Strange, I guess that was some kind of joke. Makes me doubt any hookers or pimps were involved. His wife was a total smokeshow.
