U.S.—Fans of former president Donald J. Trump are chomping at the bit to once again vote for the guy who fast-tracked vaccines and appointed Dr. Anthony Fauci to the Coronavirus Task Force.
"Trump was by far our greatest president. Even better than James Madison!" said local deplorable Nathan Nebulous. "Everything was great under Trump until that deadly virus changed the face of the entire earth overnight and ruined everything. But he was so good at owning the libs!"
Sean Hannity, a popular conservative pundit, announced his continued support of Trump on his radio program. "Sure, the vaccines don't seem to help at all and Fauci may have created COVID himself, but nobody's perfect. Don't lose sight of how great his Twitter account was before he got banned."
President Biden has welcomed a rematch with Trump, claiming it may be the only chance he has to stay in office. "I think this country is done with hetero-normative white men. No one's going to vote for him over a black man like me."

Yeah Trump sure did hire him.
Reagan hired Fauci.
Truth hurts, and looking back of course Trump was a superior President to all in my lifetime, which goes back to Truman. When a new President comes that can be more effective, and be eligible for 8 years, he will get my vote.
True but Trump ‘brought him into the covid team’, most likely under advice from others. That was his downfall. Everyone fed him BS and most all of his original team who might have done the research and warned him about people had been let go, also likely because of bad advice.
He railed against politicians for decades and in the end, listened to politicians/bureaucrats. They seemed impressive. Problem is, the only things they’re good at is sounding impressive and being backstabbing snakes.
Is he aware of that now? That’s the big question.
I remember when someone corrected Rush on that.
Every endorsement of a swamp creature lessens my enthusiasm.
1. Going on TV every day for an hour or two with a “crisis” task force, with Fauci, Birx, and that CDC guy taking center stage and acting like it was the end of the world.
2. Constantly calling the virus “the invisible enemy” that must be defeated at all costs.
3. Operation Warp Speed. Just wrong! Experimental mRNA injections rushed into production in the face of an active epidemic.
4. Keeping Fauci front and center stage.
All these things, and of course the local and state authorities locking everyone down and destroying countless businesses and jobs. The nation was sent into a tailspin over a virus with a 99% survival rate. We have yet to recover, and possibly won't for many years as the various dictators tighten their stranglehold on the American people.
