Preface: I am not looking for medical advice or help in decision making. Just venting and hoping to get an idea of how other folks in my situation are making out or how they are preparing.
So… my job has a strict vaccine mandate that is set to start Jan 4th. Basically, if I don’t load my card into the HR system which collects these, I will be fired from my job on Jan 5th… no severance. My religious exemption, originally approved at first, was ultimately denied, and they are not allowing exemptions for remote workers (like me), nor periodic testing in lieu of an injection. Despite numerous back and forth emails with HR, they are sticking to their guns (or needles) with this directive.
I was at first dead set on not getting it for the same reasons and fears that everyone else has. I was hoping that the various court challenges, etc. would put a pause on it until I found a better job, but that didn’t happen.
I would normally welcome the idea of time off (especially while living in Florida), however, IF i did find a job, I would take a significant cut in pay. Also (and most importantly) personal insurance would be too expensive per month (Thanks Obama). I have some orthopedic issues I need to have addressed in the coming year and cantt afford the premiums or deductibles on an individual Florida Blue plan.
I just moved to Florida (working from my mother’s house, job HQ in NJ) and need to afford buying a condo (housing prices are through the roof). I won’t be able to finance if I don’t have a job, and I worry I wouldn’t be able to afford monthly HOA/condo fees and taxes if I pay cash.
I am between a rock and a hard place. At this point, I am debating just getting the J&J/Janssen one and done, as the risk of side effects (as a mid-40s male) seems the least compared to the mRNA ones, and it’s more like a traditional “vaccine” compared to the gene therapy of the others.
Anyone else gone through or facing a similar situation/decision? How did you/are you managing through it and making ends meet? I am not so much worried about a salary as I am the insurance coverage (once again, thanks Obama!).
You need a really nasty lawyer to write a vicious threatening letter to the company.
You have nothing to lose by doing that.
There is a post further up-thread naming one lawyer.
Intimidation really works.
I would suggest that you forge a card and give it to HR, but that would be illegal.
Just like vote fraud is illegal.
And burning down cities.
Rioting.
Crossing the southern border without authorization.
All sorts of things are illegal.
(I’m whispering the word, “HINT,” as I type, you know...)
My principal assignments have been software SWAT teams since the early 80s. Bailing out troubled projects. One frying pan to the next. It's a model that works well from a home office with incidental travel to sites that live behind spin dial doors.
As others have noted, the job market is wide open. There is no reason to risk death or disability to keep a job with an inflexible employer. It's an irrevocable decision.
File an EEOC complaint.
You can't work for an entity that promotes Pfascism. If they can get you to inject yourself with experimental treatments with known harmful side effects, they can get you to do ANYTHING.
Your company management doesn't view you as an employee; they view you as a hostage. It's not whether or not they could be educated about these shots, morality, legality, Constitutional rights; they don't care. Don't delude yourself for even a moment that if you have an adverse reaction to the Jim Jones Jab, your employer won't kick you to the curb in milliseconds, with ZERO support for your health problems. They'll fire you under any pretense to avoid supporting you.
Do you think that submitting to this Pfascist diktat will prevent them from moving the goalposts for not only every COVID-1984 "booster" but for every medical experiment that comes down the road? No - they're only going to push it further. That's GUARANTEED.
Bide your time, change jobs, careers, and geographic locations if necessary. Like I said, you're leaving the company, whether January 4th or June 4th. There are employers seeking out talent and being a Pureblood is going to turn out to be a very desirable attribute as employers are faced with more and more employees with myocarditis, pericarditis, seizures, strokes, blood clotting, etc. from taking the Jim Jones Jab.
Art of War - only fight battles you know you’ll win.
1. Fight your employer in court.
2. Go John Galt and withdraw your participation in the workforce (quit this job and maybe find another boss who has the balls to fight the mandates).
3. Volunteer for unpaid medical experimentation (get the shot and see if you win any prizes).
I wrote this note to my boss some time ago. Maybe you can use it:
I really wish your relationship with your employees was more important to you than your relationship with out of control government employees. Cease and desist. This is what I’m telling you and this is what you need to tell the mafia thugs that are threatening your company. I pledge my support right now to stand with you loyally by whatever means is necessary for you to operate independently. If you need legal help I can get it for you.
I refuse to be psychologically abused with mask mandates or medically experimented on with the vaccines. This is medical discrimination against the healthy. Before 2019 if you didn’t have a temperature you weren’t contagious, you didn’t need a mask, you didn’t need a vaccine. If you as my employer refuse to prevent Government employees - who you pay to work for you, your elected representatives, from butting into your business and ruining your relationship with your employees, then I quit. I will not be terrorized.
Such a company policy for a remote worker without the excuse of a government mandate is inviting lawsuit.
Not necessarily true. Firing for cause can be interpreted many ways. In my state about the only way a terminated employee can not get unemployment on the cause issue is if the cause involved moral terpitude, , ie on the job theft, assault, etc.
Now if you voluntarily resign, that is a different story.
If they fire you, so be it. You were true to your religious exemption and your integrity is intact. Should there be law suits in the future, you have a case and can be a part of it.
Life is an adventure and you’re at that proverbial fork in the road, so you have to take it, right? Trust God and see what happens.
Or get the shot and see what happens.
The odds seem to be in your favor at this point in the experiment. The vast majority who have had it done to themselves are still here and seem to be fine so far.
A lot of people don’t understand this. If you work in the medical field, you will almost certainly be unable to find a job elsewhere without taking the vaccine.
It isn’t monolithic, but most healthcare organizations mandate it, and for a variety of reasons. For years, they have been unable to mandate vaccines for employees, but if you refused, you had to sign a waiver and wear a mask everywhere for four or five months.
I believe employee vaccination status has been a metric used in a formula to determine satisfaction outcomes for patients, which in the end, determine reimbursement rates.
This is their chance to mandate it, and nearly universally they have seized it with both hands, so you can’t quit and find jobs in other organizations or even states.
It is filthy terrible, but I believe this explains healthcare mandates. Some places have bucked it, but they are few and far between. It is shameful.
what do you do?
I am a software guy- I am getting 10 calls a day... I would tell them to FU if I was in the same position.
I’ve never seen the market like this.
He should get everyone in his company to quit too.
If your mom is willing, stay with her. Learn to live without health insurance, find workarounds. Take a different job. Learn to live on less. Jesus is coming soon to rapture the church; ask him to reveal himself to you; read the Bible.
[I recommend you contact attorney Jeff Childers (He is in Florida). He is very well versed on Covid and puts out a daily newsletter (Coffee & Covid). Just search for Childers Law Florida. Good luck!]
Thank you! I just emailed him.
There is no “One and Done” shot. They will demand endless “boosters” as they are now doing all over the world.
You must believe your survival depends on saying no and look for something else to do with your life.
Taking the jab is not a life jacket in a stormy sea. It is a lead weight tied to your ankle.
You will have no future at all when your immune system is destroyed by this poison.
Money will do you no good if you are fighting for your life after taking the deadly jab.
Ask yourself why thousands of renowned doctors across the world are being censored for their rational and scientific objections to these jabs.
Ask yourself why a virus with a 99% survival rate demands universal shots by ruthless and merciless politicians and employers.
Most important of all: BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
Nope. Depending on the state they can deny you.
I like you.
Do not take that injection. The company you are currently working for and the government lies they hide behind are not about your “health”. They want to keep everyone in a constant state of fear over their health, the fear of losing your job and finally the fear of Big Brother which is what the end goal is here. Do not comply!
If it were me, I would stand my ground,
My son was in this situation and rather than get the jab, he started putting out his resume. The job market is very good - he got many calls and interviews. Many if the companies he spoke with said upfront they do not (and will not) mandate the shot.
In the end his company backed down on their mandate and he came away with a promotion and more money.
I thought mandates were illegal down there?
