I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.
I would disagree. They should do something I wouldn’t say the vax is the solution for them though.
They would be foolish to not attempt to boost up their own immune systems and consider altering their personal public exposure to others.
The vax has been not great for those with serious chronic health problems.

Agree with you and hoping the vaccines are safe enough. Many here don’t like the mandates. I agree with them also.
Others are convinced the vaccines are dangerous. Well they certainly harm some subset of recipients.

You are welcome to get 3 or 4 jabs if you wish, but if they worked, you would not mandate me to do so. Mandates are not something a FREE Constitutional Republic should be enforcing.
FRiend, I suggest you look at the big picture—primary mission is not about health, or they would be testing, quarantining, and vaccinating all the ‘refugees’ entering the country as well as THEMSELVES. However,they are not.

Covid is analogous to the flu...Oh, we do have yearly flu vaccines.
I'm opposed to lockdowns and masks. But, that has nothing to do with the vaccine.
The masks, social distancing and lockdowns are just the Progressives doing what they do and long to maintain: Control of the masses via the "expertise" of the elites who know better. The fundamental transformation? To govern without our consent. That's THEIR American dream.
One other bit of advice, stop being such a drama queen, feeling sorry for yourself and spreading the fear porn. Fight, dammit, fight the COVID and fight the damn POWER-GRAB. . which is a FAR WORST "disease," even worst than one that allegedly has cost 600,000 lives (which I don't believe for a damn second, btw). . which doesn't even surpass what we lost in the Civil War and this is a war as much as that was.

I did not know what L-Lysine and Quercetin are but after an internet search, turns out I get them in my food sources naturally. I do take Vitamin C, D3 and zinc as supplements each morning with my eggs, butter, full fat yogurt (probiotics) and berries. Lunch is almost always a tin of sardines, oysters or salmon (fish oil) with nuts. Dinner is greatly varied but pretty much all good foods. For instance, I had today a whole chicken over sliced sweet potato in a dutch oven.
During this entire COVID thing, I have never been vaccinated or even seen a doctor. I haven't even had a test! I never wear a mask unless absolutely required to on public transportation or in a place of business that strictly requires it (like a Dentist office or a hospital). I have zero fear of catching the COVID virus. Zero. In fact, I strongly suspect I had it in February of 2020 as that was the last time I felt sick and I was in NYC just about every day during that time, riding the subways and crowded elevators. If that was indeed it, I shook it off very quickly.
I'm also not a "sanitizing" nut. I never bother with the hand sanitizers that popped up everywhere after COVID and I spend a lot of time outdoors. I believe it is important to expose yourself to germs. It keeps your immune system in good working order. Like a well trained army or a top sports team, you must always drill, drill, drill. Practice, practice, practice to stay in top fighting form.
All these people who huddled indoors during COVID, constantly washing their hands and wiping down packages entering their homes...it's the equivalent of keeping an army inactive inside their barracks for months on end. Very quickly, that army loses its edge and becomes very ineffective at fighting. Well, this is what people do to their immune systems when they never give it anything to do.
I do not understand the fear of COVID - a virus with a 99% survival rate. All my life, people around me have gotten cancer, had heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, pneumonia, leukemia, bad cases of the flu, etc. Many of them died. We never shut down the world over it!
There's a thousand things out there that can kill you. Best we can do is minimize the risk with healthy living and hope for the best. So eat well, exercise and get out into the world. That is how you beat COVID (and any other virus).

My choice, however, is to not comply with the demands of bullies, especially those in power in government or large corps.
My moral conscience does not permit me to comply with them, so I must not.
I will insist that you extend to me the same consideration I extend to others in this matter. If you dare address me as if I’m some kind of liar or responsible for the pandemic because I refuse to comply with bullies, then we are going to have a problem.
If you can live and let live the way I suggested, then we are fine.

I couldn’t say it better! I would seriously rather die than give up one of the freedoms that I served my country to defend for some unproven shot from questionable characters. If I trusted my government, I might trust the shot - but I do not. And I certainly do not trust Bill Gates or Anthony Fauci who both believe the world is overpopulated.

A year ago the leftists were condemning “Trump’s vaccines” and speculating it was some sort of capitalist plot to make people ill and Trump would cash in on this somehow. Now, QAnon-inspired conspiracy theories (the vaccines have computer chips to track you) and bad medical advice (it’s just the sniffles) have a large following here and elsewhere. It’s all about what political “tribe” you belong to and how you can score points for your side. I also know people who died from Covid (both conservatives and leftists) and I don’t see it as a game. I’m tired of the noise and gamesmanship. I don’t think things will get better, even when Covid finally goes away.

Some of the BEST medical advice I found about the bioweapon has been in FR comments. I especially read almost every thread on ivermectin, the first of which was early April 2020.
My wife got the bioweapon earlier this month. By following what we learned on FR — taking D + K2, C, Zinc, quercetin, NAC, ivermectin paste — we got over it quickly, never even seeing a doctor. I got it too and got tired and other symptoms for a while, my SpO2 dropping to 93. My step count this month is down to 13,500 per day from 17,000 the last two months. Oh, we’re mid-60s which is entering a higher-risk group.
The so-called vaccine is FAR more risky than than bioweapon itself with unknown long-term dangerous side-effects IF you educate yourself and take safe, effective, and cheap treatments.
How to know whether to get the vaxxe?
If Biden and Fauci tell you that you need the vax, you definitely should not get the vax.
That is how I know what to do.

How many pro vaccine mandaters would take HCQ or Ivermectin if they were mandated by Donald J Trump?
And then censor all opposition. Threaten job loss for all who refused. Forbid entry to places of business, education, government office or places of worship, unless they had HCQ or Ivermectin passports. Then demonize dissenters, and even blame them who resist as superspreaders.
No it was not about political tribe for me. I decided well before the election to wait a while and see how things went.
Once they went all fascist, that ended any possibility that I’d ever take it.
