I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.
I agree with you. In order to believe some of the things you read, you would have to believe a handful of “elitists” want to kill 7/8 or more of the worlds population, so they can live in stone age conditions for a short time before they, too expire, and you have to believe “news” sources that you have never heard of before, along with “experts” you have never heard of. Believing all that is a “bridge too far” for me. I don’t believe in mandates, but I don’t believe in people trying to convince some of the most vulnerable people to not get vaccinated, either. I have lost two friends and a family member to COVID, so far.
By your own definition it’s not a vaccine. People die because all effective treatments are banned. Earliest treatments killed 40% (Fauchi Ebola antibodies). So go cry somewhere else. DU is full of fearful kitties.
Well yes there are cures available but even those are highly debated.

I just had a former secretary die on a Tuesday following her brother the previous day. The reported cause of death was Covid. Both had their vaccinations.
With all due respect, I question what exactly is driving you to come on FR and blast EVERYBODY for having a vigorous debate over this questionable vaccine.

You are free to have an opinion based on your experiences; however, it's quite narcissistic to think that your opinion is the only one that's valid. If you can't accept the fact that there are valid opinions other than yours, perhaps it is better that you move on.

I’m in Idaho, and just got over Covid. It was basically like a head cold that lingers a bit.
Patient zero in our group of sufferers was living with two vaxxed people, so she probably got it from them. So I guess we had a “variant.”
