After their baby was born, the panicked father went to see the Obstetrician. 'Doctor,' the man said, 'I don't mind telling you, but I'm a little upset because my daughter has red hair. She can't possibly be mine!!'
'Nonsense,' the doctor said...'Even though you and your wife both have black hair, one of your ancestors may have contributed red hair to the gene pool.'
'It isn't possible,' the man insisted. 'This can't be, our families on both sides had jet-black hair for generations.'
"Well, said the doctor, let me ask you this.
How often do you have sex???"
THE man seemed a bit ashamed..'I've been working very hard for the past year. We onlymade love once or twice every few months.'
'Well, there you have it!' The doctor said confidently....
"It's Rust.."
*Finally*, in the last year a couple gray hairs popped up in the red.
Crazy thing is they’re are not “gray”.
They are absolutely stark white.
If I live long enough to go totally “gray”, I’ll look like Edgar Winter’s sister.

All the red heads in town are connected to him.
My hair is blinding white!
I keep it about shoulder length.
I rather like it, and I earned every damned one of them!
Nowadays young girls like to color their hair grey!

A couple we know, from church, both have dark hair and olive skin tone.
BOTH of their boys are as red headed and fair skinned, as can be.
Same here. Hubby keeps me from really going off the rail. LOL! My temper is mild compared to my Mom’s though, so that’s a good thing. :)
I missed seeing her at the Festival. Maybe I’ll search for it. I need a good laugh.

The Gene for Red Hair is recessive. If a child has red hair, that means both parents carried the gene. If a couple both carry the gene, the chances of a red-headed baby are 1 in 4.
I also have Scots/Irish ancestors, and dozens of red-headed cousins. My Dad had red hair, and so did I.
My grand daughter is a red-head, and has 3 red-headed children. Two with blondish tints and one is just flaming red.
I’m a redhead, and have 4 kids, none of whom are redheads. I have 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, none of which are redheads. :(
I did not like having red hair as a child; now I wish I had been proud of it. Red hair is beautiful. (Except for dyed fire engine redheads. Nobody has naturally fire engine red hair.)
Not entirely true. I had fire engine red hair. I came with a whole head of it. Then at about 6mo it all fell out and it grew back snow white.
Well, in order for your children to have red hair, their father would have to have had the recessive gene for red hair.
And even then, the odds were 75% that the kids would not have red hair. shrug.
I liked my hair, except when I was a teenager, my mom went to beauty school, and my brother and I got to be Platinum Blondes as she practiced her skills.
And I liked it so much, that I continued the bleach blonde until I was in mid to late twenties, when I went back to natural color.
Gray? Only dark hair can turn gray. That is the black and white hair mixing together to make gray. Red hair, and I was a red head when I was young. I WAS YOUNG? WHEN? Mine looks like a natural pale blonde now. Just as I decided I liked having red hair since it was rare, it turned super light blonde. Almost over night.
My mom and older sister both have hair like mine, turned from red to pale blonde. My mom was red headed and left handed. Makes her super rare!
Our daughter had almost white hair as a kid and it is still very blonde. Her three daughters have her light blonde hair. Her husband has black hair.
Our son has reddish brown hair, wife has black hair, their baby girl has very dark brown almost black hair.
Our other son has deep red hair but he lightens it so it is golden color. Our sons have the thickest most luxurious hair you have ever seen. I am jealous!
Daddy had pale blonde hair and people asked him where his kids got their red hair. He always said, “From the milk man!” LOL
