On the menu today: a look at Maxine Waters and the long road that led to a California congresswoman possibly forcing a mistrial in the most high-profile police-brutality case in decades.
CNN’s assessment, in an “analysis” piece written by White House reporter Stephen Collinson, front and center on their homepage: “Waters’ Comments on Chauvin Trial Expose Republican Hypocrisy.”
Yeah, sure, go with that, fellas.
In case you missed it, here’s what Maxine Waters said:
Representative Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) told demonstrators to “stay in the street” and become “more confrontational” if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is acquitted of killing resident George Floyd.
Waters arrived in Brooklyn Center, Minn., on Saturday to join demonstrations over the police shooting of Daunte Wright last week. A local officer shot and killed Wright with a handgun during a traffic stop after intending to use a Taser., sparking nightly demonstrations in front of the local police headquarters, with some turning violent.
“I’m going to fight with all of the people who stand for justice,” Waters told reporters at the Saturday demonstration. “We’ve got to get justice in this country and we cannot allow these killings to continue.”

They are never held responsible.................ever.............
there are soooooooo many reasons why Chauvin is not getting a fair trial, starting with the venue.
How can this not be seen as far worse than anything PDJT said on 1/6?
Don’t YOU interfere with a sitting jury.....But SHE can
That would be the funniest thing ever. I can think of nothing that would please me more than mrs ‘peach fohdie fibe being personally responsible for the mistrial
Did Nazi Pelosi sign off on this Mad Max trip to incite?
Did Nazi Pelosi provide/fund MadMax’s transportation?
It is a ‘get out of jail free’ card for the jury. “Sorry, but we feel like we are in danger if we do not live up to Maxine’s demand so we can’t deliberate.” Which will mean they can try him again in a new, quieter venue next year or the year after while still getting to scream about systemic racism, so a win-win for the woke.
“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard today.” <— this is what inciting a riot looks like.
“We got to stay on the street. And we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business,” <— not inciting a riot
No and no to the questions in the threat title. Further, they will cancel and attack anyone who even suggest such a thing. They might even kill a few.
Sad what those hipster doofuses did to that magazine.
Waters' incitements would certainly justify a mistrial, however, there were already ample grounds for that long before she ever opened her mouth.
As far as being held responsible for riots, those were going to happen regardless of whether or not Mad Maxine ever showed up or uttered a word.
Yes to the former, No to the latter.
MadMax, rev dulldumb and all the etcetera's.
No one in their right mind would intentionally bring in the most obvious and effective race baiters .... unless the plan is to guarantee a riot .... or many riots.
Consider biden calling marshal law and we are so totally screwed
No. She’s:
1) Black
2) Female
3) Democrat
4) Got cover from the media
5) Got cover from congressional dems
In short, if she were playing poker, she’s holding a royal flush. All the boxes are ticked, she holds the cards.
Nothing will happen to her.
Judge already denied the defense’s motion for a mistrial due to maxine’s remarks. He did call it abhorrent and told the defense, they likely can use this for the basis of an appeal.
This was planned. They don’t want a guilty verdict, they want riots, martial law, and gun confiscation.
It’s a pity none of the jurors will be smart enough to think of this.
It will definitely be grounds for an appeal. Especially if any of the jurors make stupid remarks to the press looking for their post-trial 15 minutes of virtue signaling fame.
