An Israeli company announced Tuesday that it has made the world’s first laboratory cultivated rib-eye steak complete with all the flavor and texture of regular meat, minus the harm to animals.
Aleph Farms, in a joint statement with the Technion Institute of Technology, said its unique three-dimensional technique had produced a steak with “attributes of a delicious tender, juicy ribeye steak you’d buy from the butcher.”

Remind me not to go camping with you...lol
Had enough mystery food in the military so no thanks.
I’d probably eat one in the form of a fast-food steak sandwich, because I wouldn’t expect high quality. I wouldn’t eat it if it were being claimed to be an actual steak.
“Where’s the beef?”
If God didn't want us to eat animals, He wouldn't have made them out of meat.
Hope it is made from a nice piece of firm tofu.
What do they feed it??
I wonder if it’s got all the hormones and... stuff that goes on with proper beef. If not, that would make me give this a go.
Ought to at least take the plastic wrapping off of it.
No bones, no eat!
People eat cultivated food all the time. That is food grown in bioreactors aka tanks or vats from cellular cultures. Buttermilk, sour cream, innumerable kinds of cheese, beer...beer..beer,whiskey,kimchi, fish sauce, Worcester sauce, the Aussie love vegamite that’s yeast. Nothing really radical about taking a cultured product and shaping it into a eye appealing form. If this is using cow cells it’s geneticly identical to the cow the culture was harvested from. This could be used to mass produce protein at basement prices and operations cost while producing an order of magnitude more product per hectare of land use. The nutrients needed to culture this would be plant based and also could be recycled indefinitely with the right filter system there would be little waste. Also for long distance space travel you cannot take live stock with currently technology the payload needed would be to great to feed animals then humans in a enclosed limited space or a spaceship. I predict cultured meat in ground form will be the dominate ground meat products in under a decade with specialty steaks like this the most affordable for the masses. Live animal cuts will be a luxury item for the wealthy as water stress and land use stress increases as humans cross ten billon souls.
Indeed it’s why I don’t have Mcnugets
Yikes
No. Just no.
[Hewlett-Packard ketchup is the best.]
Now that’s funny, right there.
Apparently the printer ran out of broccoli after one piece.
Heh
Eek!
Where is the rib eye? You can’t have a rib eye steak without a rib eye.
(Or maybe some of those fake NFL fans.)
