Everything that has happened in the political world over the past four years has been because of Trump, in one way or another. The dems “resistance” effort was obvious and out in the open, but most of the Republicans, especially leadership, were maneuvering like snakes in the grass to take down Trump as well. He challenged the deep state and the establishment, and they all conspired to get rid of him.

The fact that he has been able to accomplish all of the incredible things that he has with virtually all of D.C. on his back is miraculous, and an amazing testament to his courage and determination.

Did Abraham Lincoln say that with a straight face? LOL.

What a jackass.

Maybe it was a Dominion multiplier, you know, 0.9 or 0.75 or whatever for Perdue’s votes.

If there were a more robust GOP response to the fraud on November 3, there would have been much less fraud on January 5.

OH Please!

$2000 to a rich/affluent person is nickels on the dollar!

Right now I am at the end of the rope and the end is fraying. I’ve worked hard, very hard all my life. Never once to unemployment until last year under PUA. why? They shut down the economy and literally killed my business! Down some 85%! Just not sustainable at this point.

The state awarded me XX amount of dollars unemployment and on Dec. 18th sent me a redetermination letter that claims they misfigured by nearly 55%. So now I am stuck with owing thousands of dollars that I cannot repay.

I have worked in some capacity throughout last year until I fell down some stairs due to fogged glasses and mask. Then it was ankle surgery and 16 weeks in non-weightbearing.

This week my only car engine blew at 206,000+. I tried to get financing for a new car, but the banks won’t take my 2019 taxes and only work off the last 3 months of bank statements! Why such tight lending rules? Covid and the crumbling economy! Well ...hello...broken ankle and not working.

I need a car because my business depends on me getting from location to location. Without it...no income.

Plus property taxes are now due.

I am trying to pull up my bootstraps at this point, but they broke a few months ago too. I’ve started going to food pantries...which now without a car...I cannot get to them and you have to ‘drive-thru.’

I have resumes sent out for a job, but at my age and health I might as well put a gun to my head, rather than catch Covid. But I have no choice. I literally have to risk my life to have an income and keep from being homeless.

And I am sure a bunch of elite FReepers will jump on here and tell me I should have planned for a rainy day...well I did and it poured and it is still pouring with the flood waters rising. Would $2000 help right about now? Hell yeah! Frankly for those in my boat(and there’s a lot of us)the $600 was a major slap in the face.

Would getting rid of this pandemic help...oh a hell lot yeah, because the recovery for my business would be astounding. The growth rate for my niche of work is predicted by BLS to grow some 22% by 2029! It is the fastest growing niche of the economy. But it cannot do that with everything constantly be locked down nationally and internationally.

We’re now pushing a year into this pandemic. Those in the middle class and working class have expended all their savings already. Many are going to be rocked by the amount of taxes they owe on the government unemployment paid out. And there’s no blood left in the turnip.

I am not asking for a handout...I just want to work, have an income until this pandemic stuff is over. Then I can re-open my business and get back to doing what I am passionate about. 2019 rocked! I was getting ready to hire!

To FReepers who I am sure will shame me. F-off! Small businesses all over the country are holding on by a shoestring right now, some already shutdown. On one hand you acknowledge the bloodbath; on the other your shouting at them for be bad business managers. Hello!!! My business niche has weathered several recessions quite well.

Covid shutdowns, fear, fear mongering is killing it. Lack of therapeutics in the marketplace. Saving treatments for only the most sick? Gee if they started them earlier maybe the hospitals wouldn’t be overrun? Idiots all of them!

About 10:30pm - 11:00pm all kinds of tweets where people were asking when do they get the $2,000 checks.

They saw the results and projection - and want their money.

You are right.

Look at all the Obamacare votes. They talked big until they actually had a chance to do something, and then they got behind it.

They want to talk crap and raise money - and the meet privately with Obama and help him out (John Boehner).

That’s the comfort zone.

That $2000 check for everyone was Trumps idea. He screwed the pooch with that one. He’s his own worst enemy.
Joe Biden told the crowd Monday that if the Dems took congress those $2000 checks were in the mail.
You really can buy an election. (With your own money at that).

This has been a very successful war on the middle class and I fear it will get worse. The sight of McConnell screaming about “socialism for the rich” while pushing a bill that gave tens of billions overseas and $600 to our own people was ridiculous when our people like you are suffering. A lot of the posters here simply do not realize that in order to run this country, we have to: 1) take care of our own people first and foremost; and 2) stop crazed, needless interventions in foreign countries. Otherwise there is little motivation for much of the Trump base to vote.

I believe Trump won the election; I also believe enough people were NOT better off than four years ago to put Congress in the hands of Dems. Trump tried but was obstructed by both parties; he had beaten both to win the White House, and they saw that it wouldn’t happen again.

He was the sole voice of America’s middle class; the rest of our government is a private club arrayed against us, in the service of global elites.

Any Republican voter who was concerned about the china owned deep state democrates taking over our entire government did not suddenly stay home because of a comment about the $2000 dollar checks.

No, but the independent voters who could have made the difference in this election probably did. McConnell is delusional, just as Trump said - the $2000 checks will be going out and Mitch can sit there and gawp impotently.

Damn. Same as my story. Went from a decent 6-figure job and a good sideline company, was for the first In my life approaching $150k a year.

Burnt threw the last of my savings in December. Not getting a stimulus check as my wife has a ITIN instead of an SSN - didn’t get one in April either. Got illegally evicted in April. Car blew an engine in June. No one extending car loans at decent rates for someone with no employment. FICO score crashed from 760 to 525 after 2 judgements (I was evicted - that is already in the Freeper archives - and I didn’t pay off the car that blew an engine in June) in August. Now in the national eviction blacklist. Fled the country after sending out thousands of resumes and getting nowhere in the totally Indian-dominated IT sector for any job except minimum-wage manual labor starter work. My reserves (I paid my car payment and house payment in the Philippines until December before I left). Probably can’t return to the US and even survive. Got a part-time online teaching gig in July (paid through Australia, so it’s garnishment-proof). Started a new job in Singapore this week, also garnishment-proof.

Well, a war on the middle class, is the wrong war to be fighting. It is the class that supports the country as far as the tax base. Maybe come April 15th, with no taxes flowing into the government the depression will really be more clearly understood. You cannot have a dollar backed by the ‘good faith and credit of the United States’ if there’s no tax base.

That’s what the socialists during this interim fail to understand, they’ve destroyed the only cash cow in the country. Trump was bringing that back to life despite of everything else.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I suspect most FREEPERS are wealthy probably from inheritance and born into it. Many regular Americans were not and having a hell of a time. I hope things look up.

I had my gig over the summer writing a book. It’s doing OK on Amazon. LOL. But you don’t get rich writing books/guides. Pivoted my business to online virtual consulting, but the core of my business means I have to have a car. I have close to $2000 in bookings for January that I cannot service. (So yes, I am still hustling)

News guy this morning on FB live asking people about travel plans for 2021. Lots of people saying they are planning travel. My business will recover with a significant bounce back. But right now...trying to buy a car by the end of this week. It is a requirement and not optional. Anything under 10K with less than 100,000 will do it.

And now the travel industry is eagerly waiting for a rebound, if not an explosion of trips, as millions around the globe start to receive vaccines. https://thepointsguy.com/news/predictions-for-the-state-of-travel-in-2021-from-our-editor/

Naw, there’s a lot of FReepers who worked for it. Not all of us can be affluent at the same time. At least America wasn’t designed to be like that.

$2000 request by Trump to me was why are Republicans ok with giving huge amounts of money to overseas countries when we have Americans hurting.

The Republican Senate should have block that spending bill. If they did not want to block it they should have made sure America is taken care of first by giving us some of our Tax dollars back.
