This has been a very successful war on the middle class and I fear it will get worse. The sight of McConnell screaming about “socialism for the rich” while pushing a bill that gave tens of billions overseas and $600 to our own people was ridiculous when our people like you are suffering. A lot of the posters here simply do not realize that in order to run this country, we have to: 1) take care of our own people first and foremost; and 2) stop crazed, needless interventions in foreign countries. Otherwise there is little motivation for much of the Trump base to vote.
I believe Trump won the election; I also believe enough people were NOT better off than four years ago to put Congress in the hands of Dems. Trump tried but was obstructed by both parties; he had beaten both to win the White House, and they saw that it wouldn’t happen again.
He was the sole voice of America’s middle class; the rest of our government is a private club arrayed against us, in the service of global elites.
Well, a war on the middle class, is the wrong war to be fighting. It is the class that supports the country as far as the tax base. Maybe come April 15th, with no taxes flowing into the government the depression will really be more clearly understood. You cannot have a dollar backed by the ‘good faith and credit of the United States’ if there’s no tax base.
That’s what the socialists during this interim fail to understand, they’ve destroyed the only cash cow in the country. Trump was bringing that back to life despite of everything else.
