I don’t think the Courts - especially the Supreme one - can afford to stand down, without losing credibility in a way that would tear the country apart even worse.
I don’t think Alito gives a #### about that and neither do the other conservatives on the bench.

The country is already torn apart and has been since 2016, when Dems didn’t get their way with Hilary. You cannot noticeably break what is already broken.
