I had the bright idea of going to the library on Sunday to get a few books. BAD IDEA.
I walk in and there is this woman sitting at a plastic fold out table. Granted I have the damn mask on but it is not over my nose.
I am walking past the table and this bit*& says, PUT YOUR MASK OVER YOUR NOSE SIR! SIR OVER THE NOSE! I gave her the dirtiest look and walk away.
This is the second time this has happened to me. At a local taco place another witch motioned with her hand for me to put the mask over my nose.
I have lost so much respect for people during this covid crap. Lot of their inner tyrant has come out and try to shame me for no reason.

I have one of those cheap surgical masks that the guy at the door at Costco gave me in early April. I cut nine 1/4” slots in it so that I can breathe. I have to keep stapling the elastic bands on, but on the rare occasion where someone requires me to wear a mask, that’s the one I use. Nobody has ever complained.
It’s looking really ratty and coffee stained now, but that just adds to the effect. :)
I got so sick of Costco people tracking us down in the store when we take our masks off that we became Sam’s club members on saturday. Never wore a mask, even while waiting to get our membership. Nobody said squat.

These people need to be excluded from society. Just ignore them. If you have one working for you, fire them. If one by change is an acquaintance (obviously can’t be a true friend) then cut them off - block their phone number, defriend them on social media if you use that crap, and so on. Make these people pay in loneliness.
Here in Florida our governor has basically set us free but the mayors refuse to release their “mandates,” The city of Jacksonville -probably at the demand of the Karens on NextDoor, has hired hundreds of “mask enforcers” who bicycle around and drop in on businesses and gatherings to enforce Herr Curry’s edicts. A few days ago, the bicycle mask enforcers broke up an outdoor nighttime concert (which had been permitted by the city) because some of the mostly young attendees had taken off their masks and were dancing. It’s nightmarish, like something out of Blade Runner.
I have one of those masks with a valve over the mouth. I cut out all the valve innards so it just has a plastic piece with vent holes. Easy to breath through.
Tell them to KYA. That’s been my response.

I keep it under my nose also and avoid eye contact with anyone so they can’t tsk me. I just pretend I’m in la la land. If they are motioning to me... I don’t see it!

She works for the library and i am sure if i told her off see would have called the cops on me.
We all remember her: That miserable wreck of a little girl in elementary school who took delight in telling the teacher about every little infraction you might have committed. What are they going to do cite you for improperly wearing a mask?
Tell them that you are wearing a mask because you have CS.
Common Sense
Is it a law there? If not I’d respond by pulling my mask off quietly.
Its probably her job to check and likely a requirement to keep the library open to the public.
