The Recipe for Chick-fil-A's Sorely Missed Coleslaw
msn.com ^ | June 13, 2020 | Meghan Overdeep

It’s been four and a half years since Chick-fil-A made the difficult decision to pull its fan-favorite col slaw side from menus, and its tang still lingers in our hearts and mouths.

"For a long time, we were really hesitant to take anything off the menu because we couldn't bring ourselves to disappoint anybody," David Farmer, senior vice president of menu development for Chick-fil-A told Business Insider in 2016. "But as our sales volumes grew, it just wasn't feasible to keep adding to the menu without taking anything away."

*Wipes eyes*

Recognizing the pain the coleslaw’s loyal fanbase was experiencing, Chick-fil-A was kind enough to share the recipe for its beloved cabbage-based side at the end of 2015.

That’s right y’all… all this time the recipe (below) has been right under our noses.

My Mother and my late wife made good biscuits but it seems to be an arcane science to me.

Several months ago I tried numerous times with various flours, buttermilk, butter etc. None of my biscuits were any good. How do Bojangles, Popeye’s etc. do it?

Remember how we rallied behind them when they were attacked by the homonazis?

Then they turn around and spit in our face.

FCF!

Didn’t Biden have a run in with a guy named Cole Slaw? Oh no wait that was Corn Pop.

I just bought some Pillsbury biscuits in a tube. I haven’t tried them you but I presume they’re pretty good. I’ve seen biscuits being made from scratch and it takes a little work. I’m sure you can find several recipes on line.

I think there is some in the dried vegetable product I take but will kindly pass on the whole food.

“”beloved cabbage-based side””

There’s another way to make coleslaw?

True, but if you ever......their chicken nuggets with Polynesian dipping sauce are the shiznit. Blows McDonald’s out of the water. Oh, and the skin-on waffle fries are a nice change, too. Plus they got a chicken noodle soup that’ll warm your bones on a cold day.

Long time Chick-fil-A fans will remember the Chick-N-Q sandwich. Best barbeque chicken sandwich I ever tasted. They discontinued it back when they were only in shopping malls, in the 80’s I think.

I haven’t eaten there since they cut off Salvation Army and started contributing to SLPC. But the chick-N-Q sure was good!

Since they pulled support for the Salvation Army I no longer eat there.

Never much of a slaw fan. Still recall shock when staying in NC and how restaurants would slather slaw on everything.

Now, a good Asian slaw is fine, without all that mayo.

Yeah, you can make it with Brussels sprouts, and I presume there are other vegetables that can substitute for cabbage.

lol

That would make a great sign :)

But you’re right.

I’m sick of everybody apologizing for NOTHING and donating tons of money and talking about how racist America has always been.

These animals that are rioting and burning don’t want to make America better.

They HATE America and want to destroy it.

A lot of people put coleslaw on their pulled pork sandwiches. Never tried it, but it sure sounds good.

The mashed potatoes are a lot like kindergarten paste. BTW I cant see the word “potatoes” without thinking of Dan Quayle.

It’s exactly like mine, except I use corn syrup instead of sugar and don’t use the mustard, and I shred the cabbage using a Polish food processor (a four sided grater).

The Pioneer Woman has a blooper in an episode where she is making coleslaw and says to add lettuce instead cabbage.
I guess nobody caught it. Uh no, that’s called a salad.
