I like her show. She makes solid meat and potato meals. I think most of her recipes have been put one line, either on the Food Network site or her personal site.

In fact, a couple of days ago, I found that I can get most or all of her shows On Demand. I started watching them with Season 1, Episode 1. Her kids have really grown since she first started her show.

The mashed potatoes are a lot like kindergarten paste.

A poor imitation at that. My wife tried using it in her pre-school class once, and the kids were not having it. To paste or to eat. Who says 4 and 5-year-olds aren't smart?

I still haven't eaten at Chick-Fil-A so I never tried and, therefore, don't miss their coleslaw. Still, this recipe looks easy enough for even me to make.

You haven't missed much. High-sodium, high-fat food possibly laced with hepatitis A viruses.

It’s the carrot-raisin salad I miss. They had it a long time ago.

Glue sticks are wonderful things. (for pasting, not so much eating)

Yea, i imaging Coleslaw must be wicked cost prohibitive....especially having to delete the menu item that apparently millions loved for some other thing..

It’s from MSN. I didn’t check, but I presume their articles need to be excerpted.

MSN just published a story about it and copied the recipe. If anything, MSN stole Chick-fil-A's intellectual property for their own clicks.

If you click through to the actual Chick-fil-A website, they have a downloadable PDF with the recipe.

KFC Coleslaw is better tasting

KFC Coleslaw recipe

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise (Hellmann’s for best taste)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp of lemon juice
1 tbsp white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 medium sized carrot
4 cups shredded and as well as diced cabbage about 1/2 of a medium head
1 medium carrot
1/4 medium yellow onion minced

DIRECTIONS

Start by shredding and dicing the cabbage and carrot respectively, in its finest means possible.
You should then mix all of the vegetables in a huge mixing bowl for it not to get messy.
Third, you should have a medium-sized mixing bowl where you would put the whisk with its dressing ingredients.
Fourth, you should put all the vegetables needed in the bowl and stir them up using a wooden spoon.
Next, you should always keep your bowl wrapped in a saran always covered.
For optimal results, you should place the finished product inside the fridge and keep it there for approximately four hours, which is preferred to be done overnight.
Finally, before serving your coleslaw, mix and stir it again.
Serve fresh for best results.

The first four ingredients have not been in my diet for 20 years. And I am the better for it.

Love their coleslaw! My old Better Homes and Gardens cook book has the very same recipe! Prolly where they got the recipe. Outstanding taste.

Cole Slaw

1/4 Large Head Cabbage coarsely shredded
3 large dollops of Hellman’s Mayo
1 tsp Horseradish sauce
2 Tsp Sugar (or decent substitute)
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1-2 tsp dill
3 Tsp Poppy Seed dressing

Options - substitute ranch for Poppy Seed
- add celery seed

Mix well and serve same day. (It can get watery if stored very long)

I don’t really measure anything. These are just a rough estimate of what I use.
