Excessive ROS production is indeed part of the inflammatory process. What complicates it is that LOW levels of ROS, from sources such as the mitochondria and NADPH oxidase, are part of normal cellular physiology, serving a signaling role, switching activities of key enzymes on and off by reversible redox reactions. Hydrogen peroxide is heavily involved in such normal signaling. Under normal conditions, the levels of ROS are kept under control by SOD/catalase and the glutathione redox system he mentions here. But if these cellular antioxidant systems’ capacity to maintain ROS at physiological levels is exceeded, then you get oxidant stress. And that can trigger inflammation. Even inflammation plays a normal role in host defense against pathogens, and as an initial step in the the repair process after an injury, and as part of that normal response, there are steps to tamp that inflammation back down once it’s no longer needed. Like excess ROS, it’s when inflammation gets out of control that problems arise. Finally, inflammatory cells themselves, e.g. macrophages, neutrophils, actually do their thing by generating ROS—it’s part of how they attack invading pathogens. Unfortunately, other things can trigger an inflammatory response besides an invading pathogen, and if that inflammatory response becomes dysregulated, diseases can result. Most of the big diseases plaguing Western society these days—cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, type 2 diabetes, autoimmune disorders, ischemia-reperfusion injury, etc. all have ROS-associated inflammation at their root. This has been recognized for decades now, and it is a huge area of research interest in biomedicine

In an other video Dr. Seheult states he takes Quercetin + zinc + vit c + vit d + (help me here someone) as a prophylaxis to prevent infection.

I thought to replace mine early (finger device) in the pandemic and no luck at the local pharm. Another hoarding item, I suppose. OTOH, not so much demand meant not so many on the shelves to begin with.
The good news is, if you have a 2019-20 fitness tracker, it probably has a passable spo2 function.
According to website, wareable:
the “Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic or any Versa smartwatch” has the function but “Inspire or Alta trackers don’t”
“Garmin... Fenix 6X, Fenix 5X, Vivoactive 4 and Forerunner 245/645/945”
” the Withings ScanWatch”
you can find some fluff info, here:

or do some deepdive research on a brand of your choice
‘chicken manure’
Did the local fencing contractor run out of temp chain-link panels? Or is the goal to burn the grass off with hot fertilizer while spreading a goodly share of chicken lice? Crazy swedes. Its a sure bet that fertilizer is going to end up where the city fathers didn’t expect it to end up
Why would they be trying to prevent a festival? I thought Sweden was open?
Much more intelligent to go with the half a$$ed approach, destroy the economy and reopen when infections are at high levels.
Saw an article that said many “smartwatches” had the ability, but FDA disapproved.
Don’t know if they’re accurate enough.
But a person who came for treatment of covid symptoms should be given one by the hospital if sent home
There’s still the coagulation issue, but I’m assuming that comes after the oxygen issue.
” illnesses not addressed because we had to save some frail sickly elderly will result in many more deaths of 40yros..”
well, just how many ‘illnesses not addressed’ do 40yo’s actually have? For the most part they’re as healthy as 30yo’ds (USA). Those ‘frail elderly’ built the world you live in. Their lives are no less valuable. And, foundational to western civilization, you’re morally obligated to care about them. A lot of shootings and stabbings and overdoses have been delayed, tho - even the criminals stayed inside - as well as those who use the ER as a day clinic for minor complaints - guess what age group they are?
p.s., nobody has been denied critical to life care. The dialysis centers are still running. Shrinks and docs are available by telemed. Babies are still being born. It’s smart science to delay chemo/radiation/surgery treatments that can be delayed and use that time for the patient to continue to build strength, than to run the risk of catching CCPVirus post-radiation/surgery while the immune system is on the floor. Emergencies are still being taken care of.

“During the inspection they found that Vietnamese soldiers had erected tents in nine locations along the disputed border stretch in Koh Thom districts Dambok Chev station, which is situated next to Vietnams An Giang province.”
Cambodia and ‘Nam and China.
could it be because Germany’s neighbors shut their borders long before Germany shut theirs? (5,000 cases Mar 15 - 162,000 cases rounded April 28)
but, is Germany actually paralleling France? 5,000 cases Mar 15, April 28 166,000 cases (rounded)
the early Wuhan numbers were 17% of those admitted went to ICU and of that 6% died.
Your county numbers are on target with 22% hospitalized, (avg 80% mild/asymptomatic) and far better than the Wuhan numbers.
Yes, I recall some Dr. saying all we had to do was just stay home for a month. However, you can’t make exceptions for going out for groceries, and all the other exceptions that were made to truly kill the virus that way.
Everyone would have to have had a prepper pantry of everything they needed. We could have done it, but many people could not. Considering what happened with toilet paper, I don’t guess they could have made an announcement —something like stock up for a month—shut down coming. LOL
Talk about empty shelves and fights...
We have not visited a grocery store since the end of February, and we only went twice in February for produce and milk—but that wasn’t really a necessity we could have just used powdered milk and frozen veggies and skipped the salad.
If only there was still an old fashioned milkman to bring dairy products, I’d be happy to never visit the grocery store again. LOL
“Karen”: such a blatantly racist meme...
The media will eat it up.

Sorry, Civ, Race broke your record for most links in a single post.
In an other video Dr. Seheult states he takes Quercetin + zinc + vit c + vit d + (help me here someone) as a prophylaxis to prevent infection.
*******************************************************************************
I wrote it down:
Zinc up to 50 mg—don’t do this too long as it’s too much
Quercitin-250 mg x2/day (zinc ionophore)
Green Tea—(can be 1 pill/day)
Melatonin 1-10mg@night for good sleep
Vit. C 250-500 mg x2/day
Vit. D3 — Stop if you get COVID
Interesting — I wonder how much he weighs?
Seriously. I don’t get the toilet paper! People say you can’t eat gold. Well you sure as heck can’t eat toilet paper. If people need that much, they should buy a darn proctologist.
