This is our ongoing prepper thread, re-invented to be more specific to prepping for, and of course during, pandemics.
Where gave you found your preps have withstood this test? What would you like to have done differently? What are your current prepping plans?
Diesel is more stable than gas.
There are additives you can add to both to increase their shelf life.
That was WAY too much info...lol.

I have bacon grease that I’ve had going for at least 5 years, now (on this can).
Nothing better :-0
I stocked up on coconut oil cause it had a longer life than many fats. It's not idle for frying though. I do like it mixed in with almond butter.
Any suggestions for those that are full-time RVers? We don’t have room to stockpile stuff.

Anything dried (bean, peas, lentils).
Save your bacon grease to add about a third C to your pot of beans.
Canned hams to add to your dried pot of peas/lentils.

Get the virgin coconut oil. It is suppose to last better.
In many cities the police are announcing, publicising even, that they are going to stop going after certain crimes. Something to do with the whole cornavirus situation. I dont get the connection, but it does seem an invitation to increased crime. Especially if the quarantines and business shut downs continue very long. Some people may get desperate.

Grow flax and learn to make paper? LOL Other plants that can be used: Leaves of fibrous plants such as iris, yucca, corn, skins of onions and rice can be used to make paper.
Of course when, we run out of our stash of TP, and Phone books, there is always leaves. LOL

Really? None of the Ghee I’ve seen has that long on it—good to know.
PRIG for gasoline will make gas last almost indefinitely as long as it’s not vented where you loose the light ends.
They advertise it can bring degraded (varnish smell) gas back to specs (barring it hasn’t lost all the light ends).
I can vouch for the latter. I had some bad gas and added the catalyst and the varnish smell disappeared. Ran the lawn mower just fine.

Amazing how little space that 30# of dehydrated veggies takes up, compared to the room it was eating up, in my freezer (until I could dehydrate it).
