Sports Illustrated has introduced its next slate of finalist models for its upcoming swimsuit issue, and a plus-sized model, a 56-year-old model, and a bald fitness trainer will be among them.
The magazine introduced the six finalists that the magazine touted as its most diverse ever. The finalists were winnowed down from seventeen hopefuls unveiled last October, the Daily Mail reported.
Before this years winner is announced, the magazine is set to send the finalists to a photo-shoot conducted in the Turks & Caicos Islands, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas.
The finalists include Philadelphia native Christie Valdiserri, a 25-year-old fitness instructor and dancer whose personal style includes are bald head.
I was inspired to attend the Model Search in Miami when I finally had enough strength and confidence in myself as a bald woman, Valdiserri recently said.
Valdiserri added that she wanted to educate the next generation that beauty comes from who you are, not from what you look like.
Kathy Jacobs from Calabasas, California, is also a member of the group, but at 56 and silver-haired, is an even more unconventional finalist for the magazines most glamorous photo-shoot.
Ive entered the SI Swimsuit Model Search and flown to Miami twice, Jacobs said. The first time I didnt make it past the first round. But I didnt give up! I felt a burning desire to try again and to be part of a change in the way society views women over 50.

Going to be interesting to see how many SI Mags in the store are looking well thumbed through.
Just need some guys, transgenders, obese, and body-mods to really get sales going.
Old, fat and bald.
I’m holding out for toothless
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue used to be a bright spot between the Super Bowl and pitchers and catchers reporting, but that was years ago, when Christie Brinkley, Paulina Married-The-Cars-Guy and Kathie Ireland were still young and hot. Now it’s just an opportunity to virtue-signal and pretend that obese women, old women and men dressed as women might be of interest to most men.
But all still Homo sapiens?
Close, SI, but not entirely woke yet.
Your species-centrism is showing.
it sounds like they’re doing the photo shoot at a demonrat caucus...
This song comes to mind......Hang low...sweet chariot
Ah, so you’ve met my wife...
SI will be history within a few years.
I would not have a problem seeing models of that age if they still look good. Some women age really well. Lori Loughlin is in her mid 50s and looks 40 at the most. So, I know they are out there. But SI seems to be going out of their way to include unattractive women because it is so "wrong" for guys to ogle really beautiful ones. I guess they feel they have to throw in some old, bald or fat women in order to get away with showing the hotties.
EEEEWWWWW!!!!!..........................
Im holding out for toothless
OH BOY! The METH HEAD EDITION!......................
An Elvira cut-out
Would fill out
The Dream.
They’re deceiving themselves or they wouldn’t be doing photo shoots of their bodies! If it’s the inner beauty they want you to see why not enter a poetry contest.....there’s a reason why Eve was so easily deceived in the garden.
Wow. IMHO...Kathy Jacobs is one hell of a good looking woman.
It won’t improve sales.....
I don’t think CVS will run out of copies....................
My Japanese wife is 56 and has the body of a 36 year old . When we are in the states , and she is out with my sisters or her friends . younger guys ( 30’s ...especially black ) try and hit on her all the time so she tells me . I see Japanese women all the time this age who are as hot as they ever were . Amazing !
Those guys are my neighborhood watch....
I’d move to a new neighborhood..................
