I received word from 2ndDivisionVet wife that he passed away.
I am not using his real name here out of respect but, will ping his handle and his wife can if she would like.
I didn't ask what he died from but, knowing him for better than 10 years, I knew of medical conditions and a few terrible Operations he had.
He was a wonderful human being who cared deeply for his fellow Americans and the ideals that make this country so great that people the world over want to come here and be free, live in liberty and be whoever they want
If you have ever spoke with 2ndDivisionVet, you know he was quick witted and wry.
What had always amazed me about him was not just his humor but, his ability to somehow take life in stride despite all he endured and be cheerfull.
He was amazingly resourceful in scouring the web for article we might find interesting.
Yes, 2ndDivisionVet really cared about all of us and our presence in his life gave him purpose
I really wish God had let him stay but, my thoughts are more selfish than the absolute knowledge that he is in a better place.
I hope to see him again one day.
Rest in peace and smile down on us 2ndDivisionVet
So true. I've lost many friends due to a combination of getting old, and exposure to Agent Orange.
I think I replied to most of his threads - he always posted articles worth reading and commenting on. RIP, sir.
Sorry to hear this. I had just posted to him a couple weeks ago. Prayers and condolences for his family.
rest easy brother
Many a time he put me straight... chiding me for not reading the article... he walks with God now... comfort to his family.
Unfortunately, no.
Condolences to the family of 2ndDivisionVet.
((hugs))
I remember him fondly from a few exchanges we had. RIP, sir.
I am so sorry to hear this. It seems he posted very recently something that made it sound he was very unwell. My deepest heartfelt sympathies to his family. May G-d hold him in the palm of His hand. He will most definitely be missed in the world and here by FRiends. Blessings upon his loved ones.
I enjoyed his postings.
Rest In Peace sir.....you earned it.
May God rest his soul Amen.
Condolences to his family and friends. Enjoyed all his postings.
Very sorry to hear this horrible news.
Thank you for letting us know.
To his family, friends, and associates, my sincerest best wishes during this immediate period of grief, and beyond...
RIP Thank you for your service!
Agreed. AO is just a form of the walking death sentence of which I too am afflicted with that I brought back from the Nam with me too. 40% of my disability rating (of the 100%) is for AO poisoning too. It is tough when you hear of a brother dying of either old age and especially from AO related diseases or illnesses. May God take our departed brother now and care for his soul. RIP brother.
He will be missed. Salute
Thank you. He will be dearly missed. I never missed an opportunity to read and comment on his posts when I saw them pop up.
RIP.
Sent a prayers for 2ndDivisionVet and his family.
