I received word from 2ndDivisionVet wife that he passed away.
I am not using his real name here out of respect but, will ping his handle and his wife can if she would like.
I didn't ask what he died from but, knowing him for better than 10 years, I knew of medical conditions and a few terrible Operations he had.
He was a wonderful human being who cared deeply for his fellow Americans and the ideals that make this country so great that people the world over want to come here and be free, live in liberty and be whoever they want
If you have ever spoke with 2ndDivisionVet, you know he was quick witted and wry.
What had always amazed me about him was not just his humor but, his ability to somehow take life in stride despite all he endured and be cheerfull.
He was amazingly resourceful in scouring the web for article we might find interesting.
Yes, 2ndDivisionVet really cared about all of us and our presence in his life gave him purpose
I really wish God had let him stay but, my thoughts are more selfish than the absolute knowledge that he is in a better place.
I hope to see him again one day.
Rest in peace and smile down on us 2ndDivisionVet
I remember he seemed agitated about something and I told him to go out and run around the block.
He said he was in a wheelchair, and I felt embarrassed. At least, I think it was him.
RIP 2nd Division Vet
RIP Good sir and thank you for your service.

Dayum.
2ndDivisionVet was truly loved. Look at the length of this thread.
Vendome, show his wife.
Very very sad to hear this. May he rest in peace until that great resurrection. Joy comes in the morning.
I was always glad, if not relieved, to see that 2ndDivisionVet had posted another article or made comments on an issue that I care about. We need more like him. RIP
May God bless and comfort his family and loved ones. And for those of us left behind here at Free Republic, we mourn the loss of a great FReeper.
Ping about 2ndDivisionVet passing away
May perpetual light shine upon him! A truly great FReeper who will be missed.
Did you ever get a chance to chat with him by phone?
