A ruction?
Dang. Even I had to look that word up.
Ebonics?
“Yeah, my son tole me that a teacher said he had a notorious grandma. How they know that? I want that heffer fired and give me some money”
“Gramma?....we don’t need no stinkin’ gramma”
This kind of $#*+ is going to continue until parents and taxpayers actually wrest control of their school boards from the educrats.
The so-called "education system" in this country has nothing to do with education; its all about indoctrination. Its become the school of political correctness and its destroying our culture. We are paying for it in more ways than one.
I’m pretty sure this Grammar Nazi substitute is a Freeper.
Excuse my crassness, but proper capitalization matters too:
My uncle helped jack off his horse.
My uncle helped Jack off his horse.
Never tell schoolkids they are wrong. Always remember 1+1 = Whatever each particular kid thinks it is.
Most substitute teachers are just expected to be babysitters. Play a movie, read to the class, do something to be entertaining. Actual teaching is usually not expected of them.
You can’t talk that way about kids’ grandmas and expect to get away with it.
Liberals want to teach to the lowest common denominator.
Public schools are the result.
My kid’s third grade teacher did not know how to perform long multiplication without a calculator.
She had been teaching it incorrectly in her classroom for 10 years.
The Principal told me to let it go; any attempt to correct the error would result in an “uproar” with the union.
We pulled our kid out of that school.
“She’s in the kitchen washing dishes.”
They probably did.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Thought Police Alert!
——A substitute teacher working at an Iowa high school was taken off the sub list a few weeks after telling students that they had horrendous grammar ——
Of course, people would get offended If someone called Gramma a Ho’
(Aunt Atrocia wouldn’t be pleased neither ;-)
OK, sorry, I haven’t read this, but....
Iowa?
They’re worried about this in Iowa?
I can only envision that if the sub was sick of the redneckish language, which yes, is about as bad as ebonics?
Installing your agenda in America is quite easy, just pack the education system with followers and dumb down its future voters or import adults willing to vote as you direct.
