Democrats will introduce legislation to mandate zero-emissions vehicles make up all new car sales by 2040. The bill is co-sponsored by three Democrats running for president in 2020 who support the Green New Deal. The internal combustion engine has long been a target for environmentalists.

Democrats will introduce legislation to completely phase out the use of gasoline-powered cars by mandating that only zero-emissions vehicles can be sold by 2040.

“When I take a lungful of air in this moment, it has 30 percent more carbon in it than when I was born,” Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley, the bill’s main sponsor told The Huffington Post on Wednesday. “That is a change that has never happened in a single generation of humankind on this planet.”

Why do you think Oregon is so green, congresscritter from Oregon? Because it's covered with carbon-devouring trees and plants, that's why.

And I suppose he has data that goes back to the beginning of mankind in order to make his second claim. Let's see the data congressman. Don't have it? That's because it doesn't exist.

Just a couple of examples of why the general public has not embraced the climate change movement of the Left. Because they don't tell the truth and make claims that are so outrageous, that most American see through their scam.

And my last point, how do these mental midgets think that these fossil fueless cars will be manufactured? With massive amounts of fossil fuels, that's how.

It was the first time I’ve heard of this, so I don’t have any details. Our local utility (Avista, the old Washington Water Power) announced 100% “green” energy by 2045 and is doing everything they can to get people OFF of electricity.
