I know this has been called to his attention yet he insists on saying it incorrectly.

You are correct. The proper terminology is to repeel an onion.

Haven't you ever taken the "circuituitous" route to somewhere? A radio show host I used to listen to in Phoenix, used to use this made-up term in place of "circuitous". Tongue-in-cheek.
I think Hannity does the same thing. He says "unpeeling" instead of "peeling" as a play on words. He knows what he's saying. And his audience knows what he means. Mutual understanding.

Who ‘peels’ an onion, anyway?

Seanie the former altar boy who is pro-life EXCEPT in cases of rape or incest. That’s pure foolishness at best and evil at worst. Best prostituted his Catholic conscience as far as I am concerned.

If she placed it bottom-side-upperards on the counter it’d work better.

“Circuituitous” is a perfectly promulent word. Seriously, I can’t bear to listen to hollerin’ Hannity; I switch the radio off and see to my chores when he comes on.

My irritation is with the term could care less. It leads me to ask how much less? Properly its I couldnt care less. Just my opinion.

I also wish he would stop using Jesus’ words “let not your heart be troubled”. It’s
borderline blasphemous.

Sean is a great American.
If you have an issue with any phraseology affectations, I'll just say that Sean connects with a great and good portion of our fine Country, and does so without condescension or insult.
Oh, and I don't care for onions, at all. The phrase has no meaning to me, however constructed.

My husband bought me one, and I used it a few times. Lately, it’s easier to use my fingernails than to hunt for the thing :-)

He ends every sentence as though it’s a question? And sometimes? even has them? in the middles?
And then there’s the:
Sean: So Mr. Guest, thanks for coming on, what do you make of the latest?
Guest: Well, I...
Sean: I mean, can you believe what’s going on here?
Guest: Sometimes, I...
Sean: Well that’s all the time we have, folks.
I hate him, a lot. I patiently await his Glenn-Beck-like downfall for the same “we’re going to blow you away tonight” endless teasing letdowns.
