Haven't you ever taken the "circuituitous" route to somewhere? A radio show host I used to listen to in Phoenix, used to use this made-up term in place of "circuitous". Tongue-in-cheek.
I think Hannity does the same thing. He says "unpeeling" instead of "peeling" as a play on words. He knows what he's saying. And his audience knows what he means. Mutual understanding.

“Circuituitous” is a perfectly promulent word. Seriously, I can’t bear to listen to hollerin’ Hannity; I switch the radio off and see to my chores when he comes on.

My irritation is with the term could care less. It leads me to ask how much less? Properly its I couldnt care less. Just my opinion.
