I must apologize.
I do not have the time to make individual apologies to each one of you who I have offended, hence the general post.
I have learned a lot in the last several years. Some of the things I've learned:
I USED TO vote the lesser of two evils. No longer.
God is Sovereign in illumination, as He is in salvation. He doen't give the same light to everyone at the same time. If you're in the dark; blame God, or get wisdom.
Lincoln was NOT a good president. One of the most evil, actually.
The CSA were correct in their actions.
The State of Israel as established by the U.N. is NOT the Israel of God.

I'm afraid that Reformism has enough drawbacks in the "TULIP" model to disqualify it as a Gospel to be preached. Reformed Catholicism, like Anglican/Episcopalianism or its daughter "Methodism," is still Catholicism, and not worthy of pursuing further.
Expect a lot of solid resistance to your ideas. They are not logical or spiritual. They are carnal in nature, from which a great deal of suffering will result.
The only organization fit for participation by the spiritual reborn believer-servant-Friend-priest child of The God is the local independent fundamental autonomous assembly of Christ-followers for whom Jesus The Messiah is Lord and Head, both individually and corporate, entered by the induction rite of water baptism immersion of the rational committed publicly professing believer, governed by a plurality of spiritually mature elders administering church discipline, preaching sound Biblical doctrine, faithfully exercising the command to recruit and teach disciples individually, and showing the Messiah's death until His Second Coming through regularly participating in the Lord's supper as ordained the night before His Crucifixion.
Assemblies following the Calvinistic tradition do not and cannot fully fulfill this non-negotiable requirement as an institution of the Coming King and His Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace.

Try to find a copy of “The Real Lincoln” by Thomas J. Dilorenzo. The book presents “A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War”.

I found the Dilorenzo book a bit polemical, though I don't recall anything he got obviously wrong.
My recommendations would be When In the Course of Human Events by Charles Adams and Lincoln the Man by Edgar Lee Masters. Read these books as I did, verifying their assertions of fact with other resources. (Mostly I recall utilizing the Encyclopedia Britannica.)
Think about that quote chiseled into the Lincoln Memorial: “With Malice Toward None, With Charity For All.” At the time Lincoln said this (Second Inaugural Address) he was ordering his generals to burn widows and orphans out of their farms; and maybe to do worse things to the Indians.
The stuff we learned in high school about "Honest Abe" isn't all there is to learn. I say this as an Honest Yankee who has never lived south of Long Island, NY.
