Krispy came to Minneapolis about 15 years ago. Long lines. They were all gone a few years later.

When Krispy Kreme came to Connecticut, the local radio station visited the line.
And in line they gave out free cups of coffee and donuts to those waiting. It was pretty funny.

Blech. Dry and grainy.
Southerners don’t know how to bake.
Neither do Northerners, but at least Dunkin’ is better.
I REALLY miss our local German bakeries. THEY know how to bake real junk food.

Asked on recent Irish politics I guess people think crispy cream was giving out free birth control and abortions.

I remember the frenzy when Krispy Kreme came to Denver some time ago. After it died down a bit, I tried one
My reaction was Tastes good, but its just a glazed donut. Whats the big deal?

In Ireland?
Someone must have told them they were serving a free whisky with every dozen donuts sold.
To: EveningStar
That happened in Cal and some have closed. Many asians put out good donuts here, mom and pop. KK is too sweet and i’m already diabetic. no thanks.

JUST a “glazed”?
First off, it’s a honeydip. What a stupid, indescriptive name someone put on doughnuts.
A GOOD honeydip is fantastic. But I’ve never found a fantastic doughnut in ANY mass-produced company. Dunkin is passable, Krispy stinks.
We had German bakeries all around here in my youth and they make them great. Hell, even the honeydips sold in our college snack shop were great. Super compared to DD and KK.
And it doesn’t apply just to honeydips. Any doughnut by local places was great compared to these weak southern and northern behemoths.
