A MAN who extended his life span by avoiding processed meats bitterly regrets having done so, it has emerged.
103-year-old Roy Hobbs never ate sausages, bacon or black pudding apart from a one-off fried breakfast which he admits was mind-bendingly delicious.
He said: I am over a century old, partly because Ive exercised extreme self-control when it comes to my base desire for meat.
Many times Ive been tempted. One time in Birmingham train station I actually bought a burger and raised it to my salivating mouth, but never took a bite.
Only once, while staying in a corporate hotel for work, did I succumb to a frantic bout of pleasure with a full breakfast buffet. I had fourteen sausages. Afterwards I lay on my bed for two and a half hours, sweaty but elated.
Hobbs admitted that, despite living to an impressive age, he still thinks about meat with a sense of regret: I am old now, and frankly it is shit. But its too late to eat a steak because I have no teeth.
If I could I would appear to my younger self as an apparition and say eat burgers, and meat pies too. But in a deep ghost-y voice so that it sounded convincing.
So give him a T-bone and hold the meat. Helps my dogs when they get frustrated.
Much more believable are the stories from millions of people if they actually survive, who experienced massive heart attacks. Poor folks who have their chest wall cut open and affix new pathways due to the over-consumption of concentrated fatty meats and greasy cheese products.
The cons absolutely outweighs the pros...
Maybe Roy needs to meet this gal....

Obviously we have not met!
:)
And I don’t let strangers touch anything on my body.
This is a British satire site.
Hilarious.
I have high cholesterol of the LDL type for 32 years, that I know of. In my mid-50’s I used to get chest pains after eating out and enjoying a good steak. Because of many reasons I retired at age 57, and moved to a smaller city in Washington state and joined a private golf club. Golf was so enjoyable to me, I played 18 holes 4 times every week.
My chest pains disappeared, my hip joint pain disappeared, and my blood pressure dropped to acceptable levels! I was walking 25 miles every week, pushing my golf cart over a slightly hilly course. I did the golf thing for almost 20 years.
Now I am 78 candles, and living in sunny Florida. Now I do beach walks and visit Gym in my condo complex every other day. Knock on wood, no pains anywhere. And omit nothing in my diet, but everything in moderation.
What I have learned is regular EXERCISE is the most important factor to remain pain free and healthy. My body handles red meat much better now than when I was age 55.
That’s a great story.
Thank you very much, and my inspiration is my mother who made it past 100. Unless I get cancer, I should get there as well. Heart attacks are unlikely so long as I keep up the exercise routine. My doc just did a echo-cardiogram test and I passed with flying colors.
I write these posts so that FRiends will try to incorporate exercise in their lives. All a senior needs is walking exercise.
I want to live as long as I can, more or less. But I want to enjoy the journey, therefore, I eat meat.
Camel Shorts!
I get a pack every month or so.
Truly, a Tasty cigarette.
“All a senior needs is walking exercise
All a senior needs is a walking stick and determination.
It took 'til 103 to realize he never had to worry about dying and going to hell...he was living in hell.
Ah Humps .... why mess around with anything less.
Envy those who can have one once in a while.
Obviously.
I don’t remember hearing about any vegetarians getting to 103.

Exactly-I was born fat and bald and I reckon I’ll go out the same way...
