McConnell: Moore should step down if allegations true

Senate Republican leadership is calling for Alabama GOP candidate Roy Moore to step down as the party's nominee if new allegations of his inappropriate sexual conduct against a 14-year old girl in 1979 are true.

Both Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) released brief statements on Thursday, shortly after The Washington Post published the allegations.

"If these allegations are true, he must step aside," McConnell said.

Gardner's statement echoed that from McConnell.

“The allegations against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore are deeply troubling,” he said. “If these allegations are found to be true, Roy Moore must drop out of the Alabama special Senate election.”

Notice all the Democrats work. They have a playbook. They pull it out. Until we get a handle on the media problem in this country, we will ALWAYS be at a disadvantage. The press is free to libel and smear and hide behind the New York Times v. Sullivan decision, and nothing can be done to them. It is virtually impossible to win a case under the insane “actual malice” standard that the Supreme Court invented whole cloth. What are we going to do? Let the Washington Compost and the New York Slimes run the country? Journalists are the vilest of the evil swamp creatures. They lie, connive, smear, and do it with a smug attitude. They know that they have a virtual monopoly on the public attention. Think about it, the most conservative local stations and papers in the nation still run AP (ass press) stories.

It's obviously a coordinated effort and can't be taken seriously. The Washington comPost is not a friend of American patriots and our Constitution. It just demonstrates how desperate the DC swamp is to hold on to power.

You are correct on how the media is such a problem in our country. The local medias are just as bad as the national medias if not worse. Presidential candidate Donald Trump showed us how to deal with the medias and that is to go right after their lies and distortions. Even in the local races, the patriotic candidates need to call out the local medias and expose their lies and deceptions. This needs to happen all over the country in the upcoming elections in the next few years to take their deceptive influence out of the equation.

As for the Washington commiePost, we just need to continue to expose them as the corrupt arm of the DC swamp and the DNC as they are. Really nothing they put out should be believed as they have proved time and time again as they are just as corrupt as the DC swamp and DNC.

When all the traitors are finally rounded up, for the REAL decades-long communist push in this country, the leaders of the comPost should be included.
