"So now let's get back to the globalist/interventionist sh!t after all."
--- President George W. Trump
And this is our problem because .... ?
If Muslims are gassing other Muslims, where are the Muslims who will come in and stop it? Why does it have to be us? Why do Muslim countries always sit on the sidelines and watch us fight for their fellow Muslims?
Color me shocked /s
BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:50 A.M.) The Islamic State (ISIL) forces in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate launched a powerful offensive this morning, a local military source informed Al-Masdar.
Capitalizing on the U.S. missile strikes, the Islamic State stormed the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) checkpoints near the strategic town of Al-Furqalas.
According to local sources, the Islamic State has yet to make any gains near Al-Fuqalas, but without necessary air support, the situation could worsen in the coming hours.
The Shayrat Military Airport is one of the Syrian Air Forces most important installations in the fight against the Islamic State due to its proximity to the Palmyra and Deir Ezzor fronts.
Great.
Why do we care who takes or holds Al-Backofbeyond for 10 minutes?
There is nothing permanent. These little places have been sacked thousands of time throughout history. One group of Muslims takes them, then another, then another, then the first group re-takes them again. On and on and on.
WHY DO WE CARE?
“It’s all the original FR Never-Trumpers. Some ended up voting for Trump but still take every perceived misstep as an opportunity to bash him, flail their arms above their heads and scream, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!” (or words to that effect.)”
Yeah, they are all coming out of their double-wides after sitting in their outhouses watching all of it on their B&W TV’s with the rabbit ears. Most of them border on being irrational. It’s either that or a bunch have drifted over from DU.
I have been on FB reading comments about this. I was surprised that 99% of them were all for this attack. They said it was the right thing to do. After seeing the videos, I think so too. I liked one comment , “if this happened to you, wouldn’t you want someone to help you?”
Fraud.
Describing yourself?
I don’t want ground troops in Syria, and I don’t want to be lobbing our munitions in either.
I’d like to see ISIS stomped and then get out.
We hired the guy on. Either we trust him or we don’t.
What other game is there?
I don’t know what to tell you. Mixed signals are coming out of Russia. At one point they threaten, and then you hear that they’ve known about this in advance and signed on.
Things are so fluid, it’s impossible for us lay people to really know what is going on. I say we relax for a few days and then address the issue again.
Trump will still be there. We’ll have more information. Russia’s reaction will be clear.
This isn’t something I wanted. It’s done. At this point all I can do is hope Trump had more good reason than we knew.
Some folks will never be happy about it. I may not be next week either. I’m not real thrilled with the idea right now.
We’ll see.
Which ones Lorianne?
Are we still funding and arming al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, and ISIS?
Nope, that would the word used to describe the material misrepresentation of fact regarding the source of that Sarin gas.
You obviously have no clue what NORAD does...

Despite some concern, I stand with Trump.
Nonintervention is powerfulONLY when everyone knows you are WILLING AND ABLE TO INTERVENE.
Hopefully that was accomplished tonight.
As I see it, Trump and his team determined it was time to make a probing attack, like a jab in boxing, in part to test reactions and set up the upcoming series of moves.
Nonintervention as a general policy is good, but PACIFISM—or perceived lack of credibility to act (a la Obama)— IS A LOSING POSITION.
Ask the ISIl folks who are now operating more freely due to the recent degradation of Syrian air power.
Are we?
Id like to see ISIS stomped and then get out.
I miss those beautiful pix of Lake Louise and Banff!
Imo, ISIS is just the latest iteration and name glommed onto by jihadiscumism.
As long as there’s jihadiscum, there’ll be an endless line of orgs and outfits like ISIS.
And, as long as there’s islam, there’ll be jihadiscum.
We’re treating a gangrenous limb on the human population body with topical ointments.
If we took out every aircraft Syria had, that would not be arming or funding. It could be termed running interference for.
I don’t see the U. S. talking up support for the rebels as Obama did. All that was, was veiled support for al Qaeda and ISIS IMO.
It has been my impression that things were dying down in Syria until this recent incident of Gas.
I believe the U. S. and Russia are intent on eliminating ISIS.
Sadly, I agree with you. What a mess.
