"So now let's get back to the globalist/interventionist sh!t after all."
--- President George W. Trump
“Which “real intelligence” would that be — the Susan Rice archives? “
Uh, Syria has been under CONSTANT surveillance by NORAD and the US has military intelligence on the ground. It’s great, though, how many people with no intelligence are so convinced that it’s a false flag or that the Assad regime hit an ISIS weapons cache. So quick to turn on Trump while fully embracing the Russian story.
Dead on. Great post.
Spot on, glennaro. Post of the thread!!

Maybe the truth of the situation is something mundane, such as Assad being an a-hole, after probably being told by his Russian friends to lay low and play nice so they could build a strategic alliance with Trump, instead he turns around and does this (again) as if to say, I can do what I want, it’s my civil war, so now we’re sort of between a rock and a hard place — presumably somebody in the Administration has thought about who they would really want to see in power in Syria — if not Assad, then who?
We outside the intelligence loop find it hard to see who or what could run Syria in a less threatening way than Assad.
By this I mean, who is going to do better than Assad in fighting ISIS, protecting Christians and other religious minorities, and not being an absolute risk of regional war.
Assad has obvious flaws. But who if anybody is better?
Let’s hope that the intel on this strike is 110% sound and that Assad did in fact use chemical weapons. Whether he used them on “innocent civilians” as per the narrative du jour, or just went after one of a dozen enemies he has in this complex civil war, probably won’t be too obvious for weeks or months. All these bad actors tend to hide behind civilians, or have civilian co-conspirators.
The one thing that seems strategically smart is that this move will deflate the Russian involvement theme, or at least it should. But whether that is what we need right now remains to be seen.
In other words, wait and see. I don’t know if this is a very good move or not.
We wouldn't have the huge influx of refuges to Europe and American.
Candy assed handling of the situation by Obama and Hillary lead to this
It’s all over folks!!! We have been had big time. Should have stayed home back in November!!!!
The other side has won more with Trump than they would have with Hillary!!!!
I agree. The people jumping off the train now, wusses. Trump is making a statement. He isn’t Obama. He’s going to defend the red line and do it with the Chinese head of State eating supper with him.
Do y’all really think Mattis, Bannon, and Trump are going to get us in a fresh mess? He’s showing the world we have big guns and we will use them.
Damn, some of y’all are as bad as liberals
I agree, lets see it play out before we make a final condemnation. Its a strike on a base that hold chemical weapons, not an invasion. I trust Trump will do the right thing.
however, if we find out he’s just doing globalist bidding, the gloves will be off.
Not read the comments, but as far as I ma concerned what happened to America first.
Money spent which could have gone to the VA. Not one dime, not one life should be spent in that crap hole, and if they want to kill each other then fine.
Next lines....Gloria: “Wow, that’s convoluted logic” Archie: “Yes!!! And that’s just the kind of straight thinking I’m trying put across here!” (From the classic gun control episode, ‘Archie and the Editorial’, September 1972.
Are you really that stupid, or is this sarcasm?
Punishing despots who use chemical weapons is not a bad message to send to the world.
The atrocity in Beirut could have been avoided if the guards at the front gate were allowed to have ammunition for their service weapons, but alas they were not.
Our interest is a North Korea nuclear attack on the east or west coast of the USA. Syria war is sacrificing a pawn for the expectation that US Trump will fight.
Although a coastal nuke attack would give conservatives better voting demographics.
We’ll know a lot more tomorrow but...
It looks to me like US and Russia *worked together* to send a message to Assad: ‘no chems!’.
Tough sh!t if you don’t like it. When our president commits our military to an action, and you want to take the opportunity to b!tch about it, then you get my response.
And I do not care one bit about what you gave, or how many signs you staked in your yard, or whatever. And I really don’t care about your interpretation of whether I am sinful or not. That’s between me and God.
So you’ll be voting for Fauxahountas then? Or whatever slime the Demonrats serve up? Cause that’s preferable to Trump? Who are you rooting for?
And, of course, as additional facts come out TRUMP WILL NEVER ALLOW HIMSELF TO ADMIT HE MADE A MISTAKE ORDERING THIS ATTACK — even if the revealed facts run counter to the “Assad killed babies” scam.
LOL!!!! The yelling noob does blow a fuse quite often doesn’t he!?
