“The mice do not only live longer when we supplement spermidine to the drinking water, but they are also healthier in terms of cardiac function,” Frank Madeo, co-author of the study and a professor at the University of Graz in Austria, told Medical Daily.

Blue cheese, bacon, walnuts and dried cranberries.

These are a few of my favorite things on a salad.

It’s an aliphatic polyamide first found in, where else, semen. Hence the name.

It can stabilize DNA.

I have done that from time to time.

So good.

Sweet, salty, tart, crunchy, fatty.... excuse me, I need to add blue cheese and walnut to my shopping list.

From the article: In 2012, research suggested it was specifically Roquefort cheese that helped guard against cardiovascular disease, leading to good health and longevity, while in 2009 an Australian study suggested a diet high in dairy products, such as cheese, could help overweight people lose weight.

Penicillium roqueforti, is specifically used in making roquefort cheese.

I like a bit of blue cheese with my lunch.

And I like most aged cheeses.

I remember when the health authorities said never eat butter, milk, or cheese. I find an occasional health idea on the internet, and check it out, but I’m not inclined to listen to the health authorities.

“It’s an aliphatic polyamide”

Sorry, autocorrect mistake.

It is a polyamine, not amide.

Why autocorrect knows polyamide and not polyamine, I don’t know.
