Trump is saying some things that simply have to have been said. He's telling the truth. However, the longer this goes on, one begins to wonder what the real motive is? A lot of this stuff should have been said a long time ago by other conservative politicians and none would do so. So, why now...and by THIS guy with no real record of being a conservative?
It is beginning to look like he is trying to divide the conservative electorate. The Democrats are all united behind evil causes and they stick together like glue. We could be under invasion by the Chinese and the leftist, Godless liberals will still be clinging to their illegal immigrants, anti-gun rants, burn-the-Bible as well as the flag rallies and gay lovers. They prefer to go down in flames without making any change in thinking.
However, the conservatives all begin to fight with each other about which candidate is really genuine and really standing for what is right when almost none have a real record of doing so except for Ted Cruz. With all of this hoopla about Donald Trump with the media complicit in shoving Cruz out of the spotlight to highlight this guy and how much he is stirring everyone up, Cruz gets little or no coverage on his excellent arguments about turning the country around. And, THAT, to me, appears to be the actual goal of Donald Trump. It is beginning to look like the powers behind the scenes knew Cruz was going to be a problem and might actually thwart their evil plans and so needed something, ANYTHING, that would take the attention away from him.
The GOPee is working to accomplish the same split.
Said this when he first started this thing he calls a Presidential Campaign.
Trump in many ways is the world’s best salesman...I am just not so sure what he is ‘selling’ the American people and conservative base is going to turn out to be what we really want or need.
I still contend very much he is a Hillary troll and all of this is designed to split the party. Rush Limbaugh pulled a real stinker on Hillary in 2008...you know what they say about ‘pay back.’
So, according to you, Donald Trump got into the race with the intention of hitting it out of the park by POORLY stating conservative principles... and somehow he knew that this would work to split the conservative base...?
Really.
That’s what happened?
How in the *world* could *anyone* have predicted that Trump’s inflammatory remarks would work out in his favor? How could any of this be intentional?
Heck, he’s as surprised as anyone that the immigration thing took off like it did.
Truth has no catch, IT IS THE TRUTH!
The TRUTH is alive and does it’s own work.
It cuts like a two edged Sword. Trump is using the Truth to fight, it works like a charm and has noting to do with Trump. Truth is alive and it is the Spirit of truth that is awakening hearts.
But, I thought you knew that.
I always ponder why so many candidates on the Republican side. Looks like they are trying to split the votes away from Cruz who is truly a real conservative among all of them. I guess we shall wait and see.
As for Donald, again we shall wait and see. However, he is the only one shouting out what needs to be said and mentioned. No one else is. Knowing liberals anything is possible regarding their tactics.
Interesting theory. In support of it: Trump is certainly hurting Cruz badly. OTOH, if Trump drops out Cruz should soar. But somehow I just don't see Trump leaving the scene very soon. He enjoys the spotlight too much.
I’d certainly believe he is forcing further division in the electorate with respect to conservatives and establishment Republicans and those disposed to believe the lies of RINOs.
I fail to see exactly how Trump’s one-issue pony wins the race for conservatives across the board especially when he has to face conservatives on a range of additional issues.
To think that Cruz would do anything but accept and tacitly endorse some of the Trumpisms on illegal aliens doesn’t make sense to me. Accept that debate point, don’t dispute and move on to more wheat/chaff in the slate of what conservatism is about, too.
For others on that debate stage? It is a place where Jeb’s surrender of our sovereignty and establishment Republican lying can be showcased. The same with some of the other fence sitters on the slate, too.
I don’t expect Trump to ever win, nor would want him to, but to me he performs a very valuable function right now. Especially if it is something that damages Jeb Bush’s chances.
Which is interesting, because Rush has yet to even mention anything about Trump’s lack of long term conservative cred. I think El Rushbo might end up with a tad of egg on his face at some point. I get what Rush is saying about Trump’s impact and how he’s toying with all the right people - and I agree - but someone on the “edge of societal evolution” should be seeing down the road....
NOT CONSERVATIVE?
http://www.ontheissues.org/Donald_Trump.htm
He is ALOT more Conservative than most CONSERVATIVES running for Office!
Trump has been communicating very effectively.
He’s not leaving because he is on a mission and has conspired with others (his leftist friends) to destroy opposition to the leftist, communist, liars of the Democrat Party.
MY BIGGEST QUESTION...Why now and not BEFORE? And, why hasn’t the Republican leadership across the board been addressing these issues??? I want answers as to why not BEFORE? None of them are genuine.
...yep....for at least the last 25 minutes......
Like his previous support for Hillary, abortion, and gun control, those make him a real conservative?
The Leftist News Media — have pushed Cruz out of the spotlight before Trump started his noisy rise. Trump had little to do with it... Trump has even had a personal meeting with Cruz just recently.
The Elitist RINO so called leadership ... McConnell, Boehner, McCain, ad naseum were marginalizing all Real Conservatives way before Trump started getting attention.
Surely you are not talking about a split between Conservatives as being a split between Principled Constitutional Conservatives (which includes the Tea Party Groups) and the GOP Leadership ? Because if you are the GOP/RNC/U.S. Chamber of Commerce are not even close to be Conservative — so who is splitting? Do you mean the Conservative McCain defenders and the Trump fans? Many millions of Conservatives are NOT fans of John McCain (who is the biggest leader of the HATE the Tea Party — Hate Conservatives ...
You must read different news sources than I do ... and have different definitions as to what is Conservative ...
And he’s only going to be a conservative when it suits him. He’ll bolt when it suits him and help Hillary win.
Well said.
I agree with almost all of that.....especially the part about the one issue thing. Trump has fooled a lot of folks into thinking he’s ultra conservative because he’s very loud about one of his conservative positions on one issue. (and actually, he’s not very aggressive on deportation...and a lot of his supporters are the most aggressive on that issue).
Over time, there are other issues. Obama Care will again rise to the top at some point, and Trump has less cred on that long term than MITT ROMNEY HAD...ahem.
Just sayin....
GIVE ME A BREAK! Are you THAT BLIND???
Cruz and Trump are working TOGETHER!
