Keyes: President 'has something to hide' Says Dem 'asked to be chosen, therefore must answer'

Alan Keyes, a 2008 presidential candidate who now is a plaintiff in one of the many lawsuits seeking to verify whether Barack Obama qualifies under the U.S. Constitution's requirements to occupy the Oval Office, says the tactics adopted by lawyers for the president confirm there is an issue for the courts to investigate.

Alan Keyes, who was the candidate of the American Independent Party, cited a recent exchange with lawyers representing Obama in which they warned they might seek monetary penalties against those raising the question of Obama's eligibility under the Constitution's requirement that the president be a "natural born" citizen.

"It confirms the common sense suspicion that he won't act forthrightly in this matter because he has something to hide," Keyes wrote on his blog after WND reported the warning about "sanctions" was raised by Obama's defense lawyers.

The onetime U.S. ambassador explained on his posting that those raising questions over Obama's elibigility – so far – have simply been ignored by courts.

"In effect, the courts are refusing the admit plaintiffs on this matter into the courtroom, thereby denying them justice," he wrote. "Madison wrote, 'Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. It will be pursued either until it be obtained or until liberty be lost in the pursuit.'"

The natural-born part is where they are having the most difficulty. Being born to one parent that is a US citizen no matter where on the planet defines natural born for them.

I agree! But I have this nagging question, how did Hillary miss this? Seems to me if she had anything like this she would have played the card before now. There are two possibilities. One, she has no info that could be used to take him out. Two, she has it but chose not to use it. Number two has a couple of subsets. One, he has more on her than she has on him. Two, she decided it was not in her best interest to be the candidate.

Lots to think about here. Part of it probably is that the courts know to take the case would mean they might have to find that The One is not qualified. Then what? Is the election invalidated? What about the laws he's signed?

The thing that keeps coming back to bother me is how easy it would be for Obama to settle this matter once and for all. Why doesn't he? To me the only logical answer is that either he doesn't have a birth certificate, or it would reveal info he doesn't want revealed.

First though, we've got to get someone of authority to rule on whose responsibility is it to make certain candidates are qualified. Seems to me like any voter in any state could bring suit against the officer of that state who is responsible for putting people on the ballot.

The most ridiculous thing about it all is that we're being told it doesn't matter. Somehow it's been made our job to prove that he is NOT qualified, not his responsibility to prove that he is. I would have considered this an emergency BEFORE the election, in every sense of the word. Isn't it the law that the court has an obligation to move to prevent irreparable damage before it's done? What could be more irreparable than having a person in the office of President who is not qualified.

I got to wonder how we are going to work this out.

I do not know what is going on here, and I don’t think I want to.

Someone, apparently someone in Asia, wants dollars. A LOT of dollars. There is a forced-liquidation event underway that is massive, it is against all asset classes and it is spreading.

It originated at approximately 7:15 CT this evening and originated out of Asia somewhere. All of the primary currency crosses got hit at once - Euro, Pound, Yen - all weakened dramatically against the dollar and it is still going on. The Asian stock markets got walloped at the same time in coordinated waves of forced selling.

Had a wonderful English teacher in high school. Instead of scolding us for using bad language she made us look up the origin of the word. Damno is latin for stop, thus the damn stops water and people ask God to stop an action. The N word comes from the root word Niger that means black. It’s hard to know truth from revisionist history, but I’ve heard that the Niger connection wasn’t correct. The origins of the word remain in dispute. Regardless of it’s origins, it bothers me that in the last 20 years we have effectively created a word that can only be spoken by those of a certain skin color. That is so horrifically wrong it is a microcosm of many of the problems of our society.
